Dulce, New Mexico, the mysterious "earthquakes" of 1966 and 1967 and Project Gasbuggy

Here is a fascinating report which was posted several years ago on the Internet by an anonymous researcher who only went by the name of Firefoot:

This researcher, Firefoot, apparently studied the earthquake epicenters in and around Dulce from January 23, 1966 to December 10, 1967. Apparently unusual "earthquakes" were occuring in these areas nearly a year before Project Gasbuggy took place on December 10, 1967!!

(December 10, 1967 was when the U.S. exploded a nuclear device a mile and a half underground, about 22 miles southwest of Dulce, New Mexico.....it was called Project Gasbuggy and was explained by the U.S. Government as an experiment that would help ease the flow of natural gas trapped under hard, tuffa rocks in the entire region......it was an explosion of 30 megaton bomb, which caused a 5.10 magnitude earthquake in the area, extending all the way to Farmington).

This anonymous researcher, Firefoot, covered all known earthquake information from a point that extends 50km in every direction around the coordinates 37.052N, 106.907W.

He states that for some reason, 95% of the earthquakes occured between 1966 and 1967.
He states that it is possible that there was underground construction occuring.
He then made this map using the USGS/NEIC data.

As you go to his above link, he points out that Red "tacks" show coordinates where MULTIPLE earthquakes occured. Blue "tacks" show places where there was one earthquake only.

He made black grid lines to connect lines of more than TWO earthquakes which happened to happen along a meridian.
He says that the chances of there being so many lines of more than two earthquakes is statistically nil!!

The green and red lines show locations between places where multiple earthquakes occurred where they just happen to measure into perfect triangles. (As stated, lines of these two triangles are marked with green and read.)
"Very strange to say the least!" he says.

He believes explosives and RAND Corp digging machines were used.

MYSTERY SPOT 18 MILES NORTHEAST OF DULCE, NEW MEXICO:

In his explanation on the left side, he mentions three items of interest:

These three items are Purple "tacks":

He describes one as a "hangar in the forest", which is the northwestern point of the equilateral triangle. The equilateral triangle is indicated with purple color. If you zoom in, yes, you can definitely see an isolated building which definitely could be a hangar. This location is slightly south southeast of Pagosa Springs, Colorado.

Next he describes a "door in the mountain". This is the eastern point of the equilateral triangle. What he calls a "door in the mountain" (if you zoom in) appears to be an anomalous spot...a strange area near atop a snow-capped peak (the researcher calls this peak Navajo Peak, and is located about 8 miles northeast of the town of Chromo, Colorado. The anomalous spot (which superficially looks somewhat like a lake) certainly doesn't fit in because the rest of the area is snow-covered.

(In late 2008 I was contacted by a Los Alamos scientist who first pointed this to me when he visited my home)

Lastly, the researcher, Firefoot, describes an "arrow at Dulce". This location is at the southern point of the equilateral triangle. If you zoom in, you can clearly tell that it is a building located in the southern area of Dulce. Actually, it is the Dulce Elementary School, located right next to the Stone Lake Road.
If you zoom in, you can clearly see that the arrow is seen on the strangely-configured circular driveway of the school. This is now known among some researchers as the Dulce Arrow.

(Again, in late 2008, the very same Los Alamos scientist who visited me pointed this out to me)

What is most interesting is that from the Arrow of the circular driveway of Dulce Elementary School to the anomalous point on Navajo Peak in Colorado is exactly 18 miles.

And, from the anomalous area high atop the snow-capped Navajo Peak in Colorado to the "hangar" south of Pagosa Springs, is also exactly 18 miles.

And, from the "hangar" south of Pagosa Springs to the circular driveway of Dulce Elementary School is also exactly 18 miles!!

What fascinates me most is her inference that the origins of UFOs may not be from another planet in the universe but from this earth, i.e., somewhere on or in earth.

Coincidentally on this line of thought, I have always been skeptical of UFOs as physical extraterrestrial spacecraft coming all the way from somewhere in outer space and defying all laws of physics as we know it.

I have always wondered if it is more plausible to think that their origins (if indeed they do exist physically or otherwise) could be from this earth, i.e., somewhere on earth or even somewhere in the interior of the earth.....as ridiculous as it may sound.

We will just have to wait and see if this is all New Age MUMBO JUMBO or not.
Or, perhaps, could this be some type of a Psychological Operations tool that may be utilized by any number of global institutions that may have hidden agendas for 2012?

We know that the P-175 Polecat was tested at Area 6 (Yucca Lake) because there are images and video of the airplane using the lakebed airstrip. This took place before the new airfield was constructed.

The P-170/RQ-170 Sentinel has been associated with the 30th Reconnaissance Squadron at Area 52 (Tonopah Test Range) in official statements. It may have been initially flown from the Yucca strip.

There is circumstantial evidence connecting the Desert Prowler UAV to Area 51, and possibly even to the Red Hats squadron though this seems counterintuitive.

All three are products of the Lockheed Martin Skunk Works.

Where I stand on UFOs, Aliens and Conspiracies and my take on Anthony Sanchez's intriguing and highly controversial book, UFO HIGHWAY, http://www.ufohighway.com

I hereby reiterate my stance on this matter:
As far as I am concerned, there has never been any single, solid, physical, tangible, irrefutable (publicly acknowledged) evidence whatsoever that we have ever been (or are being) visited by physical extraterrestrial entities in physical extraterrestrial spacecraft. ("physical", based on our concept and understanding of the terminology)

This has been my bottom line for many, many years and I will continue to take this stand until the day such evidence is manifested beyond question.

However, this does not mean that the so-called UFO phenomenon does not exist.
In fact, it is my belief that this phenomenon has existed from time immemorial.
Unfortunately, I have seen no solid evidence that this phenomenon has anything to do with physical extraterrestrial visitations.
Despite having been involved in the so-called "UFO research" for 50 years or so (I began my involvement with this field since around 1961), I am the first to admit that I have found no answers when it comes to this puzzling phenomenon.

I am bascially in agreement with the statement recently issued by the WHITE HOUSE (on November 7, 2011), i.e., that the "U.S. government has no evidence that any life exists outside our planet, or that an extraterrestrial presence has contacted or engage any member of the human race...in addition, there is no credible information to suggest that any evidence is being hidden from the public's eye".

I am also in agreement with the following statements issued by the WHITE HOUSE:

"Many scientists and mathematicians have looked with a statistical mindset at the question of whether life exists beyond Earth and have come to the conclusion that the odds are pretty high that somewhere among the trillions and trillions of stars in the universe thee is a planet other than ours that is home to life.

Many have also noted, however, that the odds of us making contact with any of them - especially any intelligent ones - are extremely small, given the distances involved.

But that's all statistics and speculation.

The fact is we have no credible evidence of extraterrestrial presence here on Earth".

Having said all this and having my position clarified, I am still intrigued by the "beliefs" of a segment of the population when it comes to UFOs, Aliens and Conspiracies, i.e., that we have been (or are being) visited by physical extraterrestrial entities in physical extraterrestrial spacecraft and this is all covered up by the government.

This is the reason why, despite my skeptical stance, I try to be open-minded enough to welcome anyone to write a book on UFOs, Aliens and Conspiracies.

As I mentioned in the beginning, one such book that I am quite fascinated with is Anthony Sanchez's controversial, book UFO HIGHWAY, http://www.ufohighway.com

So much so that I offered to write a short FOREWORD to it, regardless of whether his "findings" and his alleged "source" are credible or not, or even whether they were all intentionally "concocted" by him as part of a hidden agenda.
Whatever the case may be, if there ever were such a thing as an "ultimate UFO book", this would be it.

As I stated clearly in the FOREWORD, there is not a single, solid, physical, tangible, irrefutable documentary evidence whatsoever that there is a physical U.S. operated underground base (much less a joint U.S./alien one at that) in Dulce, New Mexico.

However, there seem to be (at least to me) plenty of circumstantial evidences (including many reports and testimonies from many individuals in the local Jicarilla Apache community of Dulce, an area filled with deep-rooted cultural and spiritual beliefs) that "something" is there in Dulce. What that "something" is, I do not know and I do not claim to know.

Ultimately, at least to me, Anthony Sanchez's intriguing book is not about UFOs, nor about aliens nor about an alien base. It is about the role of "belief".
Could collective "beliefs" ever create another level of "reality" somewhere in time and space?

As I insinuated in the FOREWORD, could it be that there is a "highway" through which other "realities" could be interacting with the human psyche in certain locations?
Is there an alternate "reality" lurking and interacting with the human psyche behind the physical facade of Dulce and its surroundings and, by further extension, the entire region east of the Four Corners area of New Mexico?
Yes, this is all nothing but speculation.

We may never know.

I highly recommend UFO HIGHWAY because it is not only a great read but it is a psychological eyeopener and makes us want to ask questions, questions that could very well affect our understanding of what reality ultimately is.

DULCE, NEW MEXICO -- An interesting report was given to me by Anthony F. Sanchez, author of the controversial book UFO HIGHWAY, http://www.ufohighway.com:

10/21: Former Governor Jesse Ventura was denied access to the Jicarilla Reservation. He was given a token Bigfoot expert of the area and was told to shoot off the reservation.....I am not sure why the Governor was denied access to film there.

10/24 @ 2:30 A.M......I arrive to Dulce with my cameraman.

@8:00 A.M....I am in a sit down meeting with the Tribal Council President and Public Relations Officer....they get my printed book, said they each read the PDF already and then they drop a bombshell on me....they give me unprecedented access to the reservation, specifically the Archuleta Mesa.

@10:00 A.M.....I begin my investigation. A seven year veteran Jicarilla police officer, and now a professional hunting guide, is escorting me in a 4 X 4 up to the top of the mesa, using a road known only to a few people on the reservation...No one uses it....He takes me to the top of the Mesa up onto the pleateau.

SIDE NOTE: He tells me about a recent encounter with two Phoenix Suns basketball players and himself who were accosted by three military personnel...they were told that they were violating a RESTRICTED AREA and needed to vacate the area immediately....when he protested, stating that this was sovereign Jicarilla land, they responded, "Today this is a RESTRICTED AREA, leave now".....they then point AR-15 rifles at all three of them...this happened in June of this year, 2011....my guide says he had similar reports from all over the reservation that same week.

...So, as he tells us that story, and as we are driving up already at the top just a short distance from the radio towers, I spot two strange objects painted military GREEN, and I can see they are plated with serial information....we take out our cameras and photo and video them....I noticed that it was U.S. Government Property (it literally said that) on the Mesa.....we are just 1600 feet away from the radio towers (I have film)....Do you realize what this means?...IT IS PROOF THEY ARE THERE.

My guide assured me that no one else has EVER found MILITARY GRADE materials up on the mesa....not a Jicarilla, not anyone.

We also surveyed the 1996 UFO CRASH SITE.....we photographed that too.....I HAVE A NEW DATA FOR YOU: Residents said that in 1996 a COPPER DISC was seen crashing into the Mesa....it was 150 ft. wide in circumference.....cameras were taken from them by military and tribabl police, under order from the military...they said that the night it happened, the mesa area was cordoned off as a perimeter was set up....they also said that the military came to remove the crash evidence....for weeks after they said Black SUVs were seen in the area.

The source for this info was THREE Jicarilla families who I interviewed, and a current Chief of Police (I am not allowed to say from where) but who was a Jicarilla Police officer at the time...(this man told me of a FACILITY ENTRANCE on the southwest of the Mesa with HOLOGRAPHIC ENTRANCE POINTS, that they have video of Grey Craft (not military) and much more....This man is the REAL DEAL...he and I had DINNER with (name withheld) in Taos at the ASPE Event.....she is my proof...

His two sons were in attendance at the meeting, also sharing personal stories with me and my cameraman, Ric Prestel (Sacramento MUFON)....I have 19 drawings/sketches from this man....my God, one of the CRAFT he describes matches exactly to a PAUL BENNEWITZ sketch...and it matches the COLONEL's descriptions of purplish/lavender lighting...and GREYS.

I learned from this man who the TWO PEOPLE WERE who were at the Dulce Facility in 1979...he says he SWEARS tha these two men admitted to him that they were helicoptered to a secret facility on the southwest area of the MESA....then they said to him that they were passed through a massive holographic entrance (that it had actual doors, but that when opened it projected a FAKE columnar basalt wall...holographic!)......one was NM State Police Officer and the other one was Jicarilla Apache Police Officer (names withheld).

He said that there is another entrance just below the RADIO TOWERS too.

I HAVE A CRAZY STORY FROM HIM TO SHARE ABOUT A CRAFT THAT WAS REPORTED TO THE JICARILLA POLICE DEPT. AND KIRTLAND AFB on the SAME NIGHT.

THIS IS WHERE IT GETS STRANGE....

Two days after investigating the Mesa, my face became paralyzed on the left side.

But it gets even stranger...doctors are assuring me that I did not have a stroke causing the Facial Paralysis (that is the good news)...but they are saying that the findings from their blood tests are showing that I was exposed to some unknown neurological bio-agent....they told me today (in California) that whatever it is that is afflicting me, is beyond anything they have ever seen.

Care to guess who did this to me? Strange but it was just two days after I discovered the U.S. Government property atop the Archuleta Mesa that this shit happened to me...I hope I recover...

I am in a lot of pain right now....I wish I could tell more, but I have to sleep....

A "weather tower" (with movable monitoring cameras attached) was just constructed atop Tikabaoo Peak, Nevada, which is Public Land and which happens to be the ONLY SPOT now from where the public can view Groom Lake/Area 51 in the distance.

This "weather tower" is being managed by the Desert Research Institute, with a special funding by the DOD.

The most plausible explanation for the 1947 Roswell incident

In July of 2010 I was privileged to hear this great presentation given by Guy Malone in Roswell for the 2010 Roswell Festival.

I am sure that this was not the type of presentation that the UFO Museum in Roswell would have appreciated.
And so, this presentation was not held at the Museum but at the Convention Center.

(In the past, the UFO Museum in Roswell has controlled and dominated the Roswell Festival.)

However, the 2010 Roswell Festival was not handled by the Museum.
It was the City of Roswell that took over the 2010 Festival.....and therefore speakers who presented alternative interpretations of the Roswell incident were given free rein to speak at the Festival.

The Roswell UFO Museum has never invited any speaker that deviated from the "alien" interpretation of the Roswell incident. ("aliens" draw people and "money" to the museum and, consequently, to the city, a dilemma for the city in many ways...economically and especially politically).

So, I feel that this was a victory for Guy Malone.
And I tend to concur with Guy Malone in this alternative explanation to the Roswell incident.

The prophets of the UFO=ET subculture allude to their anonymous and/or dubious "sources" and chastise anyone who dares to question them. For the "alienologists", the whole scientific and political establishment conspires to conceal the extraterrestrial presence in our world. If we stop to think about what such a conspiracy would require, we quickly realize the ridiculous and irrational nature of this idea. A secret of such magnitude could not remain secret very long. Not in the era of Wikileaks.

The rhetoric of nonsense, improvisation and fantasies is usually proposed instead of reliable evidences.
The believers, as do church goers, must have faith in the inspired words of these self proclaimed representatives of the extraterrestrials. Doubts about their "revelations" are punished with insults, accusations and isolation of the "provocateurs". To keep things going, facts are twisted and natural phenomenon become evidences of the extraterrestrial presence. A balloon is never a balloon, and a Chinese lantern is a star-craft.

I started out believing that the “historical evidence” (the Pyramids, Nasca, the Mayan Calendar, etc) was overwhelming and irrefutable proof of visitors from other worlds, but 40 years of rational investigation has lead me to the inevitable conclusion that there is just no real evidence, no facts - only improbable and hypothetical theories which are presented as fact.

The believers keep on waiting for the predictions of the "alienologists" to come to pass, but they never do. So they must keep on waiting. The aliens never seem to come through. Perhaps, it is the aliens who are conspiring to make the “alienologists” and their followers look like crazies.

ET fantasies sell books and, through the Internet, give personal promotion to a few obscure and border line personalities, but they do very little to promote real scientific investigation of the UFO phenomenon.

Now, deconstructing our own neologisms, Ufology means learning and studying something unknown, consequently the word itself is an oxymoronic contradiction, because we cannot study something that is not only unknown but whose existence is not evident.

How can we learn about something that perhaps doesn’t exist?

Yes…yes I know that some of you will remember the word Theology which defines a “science” that pretends to investigate someone or something whose existence is non-evident and unproved, but precisely, in this contradiction, we find the key, the answer to our doubts..!

Theology only exists as the science of what people say about the presumed entity called “god”.

Ufology should be defined as the science that investigates what people say and write about Unidentified Flying Objects.

Now, diverse individuals tell us totally different and contradictory things about UFOs, and this is essential because probes that nobody knows what UFOs are (if they are something.)

Also this: Ufology doesn’t look for Truth in what people say and write about Aliens, Flying Saucers and extraterrestrials. That’s because we cannot find Truth in the contradictory and nonsensical discourse of the self proclaimed experts and contactees.

It is with deep sadness that I must inform everyone that our friend, colleague and hero, Gabe Valdez, passed away suddenly in his sleep on August 7, 2011 at his residence in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Gabe Valdez, 67, State Gaming Control Board investigator, was also a long-time State Patrol officer in charge of the Dulce, New Mexico area for many many years.

To many, he was the central figure in investigations on cattle mutilations and frequently reported sightings of strange flying objects that seem to have dominated the Jicarilla Apache town of Dulce, New Mexico since the mid 1970s.

Gabe worked with the late Paul Bennewitz from the very beginning in investigating the alleged rumors about an existence of an underground base in Archuleta Mesa, adjacent to Dulce.

He has truly become a legend.
There is no doubt in my mind that Gabe knew more about Dulce than what he reported to the public. And we may never know, now that he has passed away.

Gabe was a kind-hearted, soft-spoken and extremely likeable person.
He was generous and so courageous, something we should all strive for.
He helped so many people with his tireless effort in rendering assistance, almost 24-7, when needed.
May his soul rest in peace!

Some very sad news has come to our attention.
With much sadness I have to inform everyone that Ted Gunderson, friend and colleague of the Civilian Intelligence Network, has lost his battle with cancer and has passed away on July 31, 2011.

Ted Gunderson was one of the finest, most noble Americans we have ever known.
May his soul rest in peace.
God bless Ted Gunderson for his 30 years of exposing outrageous government crime and corruption.

Those of us who knew Ted sorely miss his big smile, radiant personality and patriotic dedication to truth, justice and preserving the American way of life.

I first met Ted in 1992 in Arcadia, California, in a conference which Gary Schultz and I organized that exposed the dark side of the Wackenhut Corporation.

I heard him speak at a 1995 Patriot/Militia conference held in Palm Springs, after the OKC bombing incident.
It was Ted Gunderson who inspired me to get involved with the Patriot/Militia movement in 1995.

Ted Gunderson investigated the Ruby Ridge incident, the 1993 Waco incident, the 1993 World Trade Center bombing incident, the OKC bombing incident and countless number of covered-up incidents, not to mention the 9/11 incident of 2001.

My friend, Anthony J. Hilder, knew Ted Gunderson very well.
He and Ted did lots of conferences together.

Ted Gunderson also spoke at many conferences where I was also a speaker.

Ted Gunderson participated in our 1999 People's Rally at Area 51 to protest the government's environmental infractions at the site as well as to support the workers' rights for health compensation resulting from sickness caused by the use of hazardous, toxic chemicals:

Question: is it possible to talk about Rational Ufology? The answer is YES.

Let us consider the following characteristics of the UFO phenomenon:

Since more than 90% of the sightings become identified flying objects, the remaining 10% of such sightings are a rare, infrequent occurrence.

There never was and probably never will be any contact between us and the hypothetical ufonauts.

In other words contact is not one of the characteristics of the UFO phenomenon.

In fact the UFO mystery suggests the existence of a program, instead of the activities of biological entities.

In my perspective, the UFO phenomenon “behaves” as a computer program that, of course, we cannot understand. This program is doing his job, no matter what we believe or disbelieve.

False expectatives are negative and futile.

Now, if we consider the whole UFO phenomenon as a program, we cannot expect the fulfillment of our expectations, mostly products of science-fiction models.

Rational Ufology should remain aware of this rare phenomenon that cohabits with us in this planet Earth, and also analyze the sightings and the sociological and psychological impact of the UFO mystery in our human conscience.

That is why we are interested in fantasists, charlatans, neo-cultists and even borderline personalities.

This is what we can do, if we want to learn something about us and about the UFO Program.

The difference between a conspiracy theorist and a conspiratologist

There is a world of a difference between a conspiracy theorist and a conspiratologist.

It seems to me that the word "conspiratology" has never been officially recognized or defined correctly in the dictionary.
It is a word that was claimed to have been coined by several individuals over the last three decades or so.

As far as I know, one of the first persons to have coined that word (although in a wrong context) was Gary Schultz of Santa Monica, California, who was a former colleague of mine in the early 1990s when I was active in an informal group called the Civilian Intelligence Network.

What Gary Schultz actually meant was that he was a conspiracy theorist. Instead, he accidentally described himself as a conspiratologist.

A conspiracy theorist is a person who openly espouses (believes in) a conspiracy theory or conspiracy theories.

A conspiratologist is a person who simply studies about conspiracy theories.

Conspiratology is a comprehensive study on the origins, the role and effects of beliefs in conspiracy theories on society.

It is a general study on why beliefs in conspiracy theories or conspiratorial worldview are deeply ingrained in the psyche of a segment of human society.

(The Newsweek Magazine made a comment a few years ago that beliefs in conspiracy theories have become as American as apple pie.)

There are many conspiracy theorists but conspiratologists seem to be few in number.

Therefore it is important to bear in mind that a conspiratologist does not espouse any conspiracy theory at all.
(However, if he does, he will only give an impression to the public that he does not subscribe to conspiracy theories.)

A conspiratologist simply studies and evaluates the impact of beliefs in conspiracy theories on society and how people's beliefs in such theories could be manipulated or benefited by an individual or individuals (who may or may not represent an organized group, such as certain governmental agencies or the military), partly in order to bring about certain agendas, to conceal certain agendas, or to detract attention away from certain agendas, such as muddying the waters of certain agendas.

Creation and manipulation of certain "cover stories" play a vital role in such operations.

Many large defense contractors have someone who skillfully creates "cover stories" as a means to mislead curiosity seekers among the civilian public especially during certain technological testing phases for covert or innovative programs.

For example, a creation and manipulation of such "cover stories" may have taken place during the mid 1980s to the early 1990s when several sensitive projects such as stealth technology, hypersonic spy planes as well as remotely-controlled platforms such as UAV and UCAV programs were conducted at locations such as at Area 51.

Bringing about the "laughter curtain" to the public (for example, by creation of UFO stories or "alien" technology stories to the goings-on at the Groom Lake complexes in Nevada) seems to have been a strategy conceived by both the defense contractors and the Air Force).

Going back to the idea of manipulation of beliefs in conspiracy theories, it is said that on occasion, an individual or individuals (who may or may not represent an organized group such as certain governmental agencies or the miitary) , may even assume and play the role of a "conspiracy theorist", posing himself as one, i.e., implanting himself as a "mole" in a segment of society, such as among UFO organizations like MUFON, etc.) in order to gather information on what the public or a segment of the public knows about certain specific agenda.

Immediately after the end of World War II, when a large number of German scientists, engineers and former SS intelligence officers were brought to the U.S. to places such as Kirtland Army Air Base in Albuquerque, New Mexico (present-day Kirtland AFB) in 1945 (through the U.S. program called Operation Paperclip), the U.S. did benefit from acquisition of SS offcers' know-how in intelligence operations and techniques.

The German officers were skilled in the use of certain intelligence operations and strategies, such as the use and manipulation of misinformation along with the creation of disinformation, as well as intentional "staging" of certain events to deflect the enemy's espionage attempts to scrutinize sensitive projects being conducted.

By the way, many German scientists and engineers were transferred to places in New Mexico such as Los Alamos Laboratories. Others, especially those who specialties were in rocketry and various types of experimental aircraft were transferred to locations such as White Sands missiles ranges and adjacent areas where many tests of various types were apparently conducted in 1946, 1947 and 1948.

(Even until a few years ago, the presence of German pilots in air bases such as Holloman Air Force Base in New Mexico has been quite noticeable. Holloman Air Force Base seems to have had a special relationship with the German Air Force for many years.)

It is quite possible that "cover stories" along with disinformation tactics (and even "staged" incidents) were used by the U.S. military in order to conceal certain sensitive testings at locations such as Whites Sands and other nearby desert areas of New Mexico in 1946, 1947 and 1948.

When the CIA was established as a successor organization to OSS in 1947, the role of former German SS officers was quite significant.

The same can be said of NSA, which was also established in 1947.

The intentional creation of paranoia (as well as creation of conspiracy theories, to a great extent) may have been a minor but important element in the vast areas of intelligence operations that the CIA and other U.S. agencies have acquired all these years from the former SS intelligence agents.

Here is the latest on the controversy behind Annie Jacobsen's fascinating and provocative book.
But before you read the above item (which is located near the end of this blog), please read the following:

Was it counter disinformation over intended disinformation on the part of the anonymous interviewee?

Whatever the case may be, it had become (intentionally or not) a brilliant strategy for her book!!

Annie Jacobsen's book is well written, riveting and thought-provoking!!

The interesting question, however, is: Did she intentionally allow many gullible reviewers (even a few military aviation enthusiasts who fell into this strategy) to exclusively focus on the controversy (i.e., the last 8 pages which have little to do with the rest of her thick and rather straightforward book)?

Indeed it seems that most reviewers (including a New York Times reviewer, and even L.A. Times itself) were sidetracked by this provocative item and unwittingly played a role in sensationalizing her book.
Her 'anonymous' interviewee (no longer anonymous....Alfred O'Donnell of EG &G) may also have fallen for the trap by agreeing to throw in an obvious piece of disinfo* (which he may well have been aware of, as well as Jacobsen herself....as disinfo*) for her book.
The strategy seemed to have worked and the book became a top-seller.
It was quite brilliant.

* The book definitely brings up a very important topic, i.e., the significance of Operation Paperclip that played a major role in the subsequent development of America's Black Budget programs.

It has always been my understanding that in 1945, immediately after the end of World War II, the U.S. brought in many German scientists and engineers (as well as some former SS intelligence officers) to New Mexico through that program.

After arriving at Wright Patterson Army Air Field in Ohio, it is said that many were then transferred and initially stationed at Albuquerque's Kirtland Army Air Field (present Kirtland AFB). Some of the scientists and engineers were then relocated to Los Alamos.

Others were transferred to White Sands Missile Ranges.
Many of the German engineers played some significant roles in the development and testing of U.S. rocketry (as well as other military projects) in the late 1940's.

It has always been my understanding that the U.S. military also secretly began to test-fly several prototypes of unconventional, flying wing aircraft (some with Ramjet engines) which the Germans developed in the early 1940's, including a few of the Horten brothers' flying wings.

(All this, in addition to possibly other even more 'unconventional' German aircraft.)

It is said that one of the Horten brothers' fying wing aircraft may even have reached speeds of up to 500 miles per hour when tested in Germany in 1943, even though it had a limited range of less than 1000 miles.

With the help of these scientists and engineers, it is my conjecture that the U.S. military secretly conducted these flight tests over the deserts of southern New Mexico in 1946 and 1947.
Other flight tests may also have been conducted in wide areas in the Western states, extending from Washington all the way to Texas.

Some of these prototypes of flying wing aircraft were crescent-shaped. Some others were delta-shaped or manta ray-shaped.

It is very possible that accidental crashes of some of these craft may have necessitated the creation (and even "staging") of convenient "cover stories".

Therefore it is my personal belief that it was the U.S., and not Stalin and the Soviets, that acquired several of the most technologically significant flying wing prototypes (and information pertaining to that technology).

Stalin and the Soviets, no doubt, also got hold of many German scientists and engineers through their own "version" of Paperclip but it is my conjecture that what may have crashed in New Mexico was not from Soviet Russia. It was most likely of German origin, acquired, modified and developed further by the U.S. and test-flown by the U.S. within New Mexico.

And this, I believe is the crux of the so-called 'disinformation' (the Stalin and Soviet Russia's role) intentionally thrown in by the 'anonymous' interviewee (Alfred O'Donnell of EG & G) in Annie Jacobsen's book.

New Mexico is officially the Land of Enchantment.
However, it seems that there are some who take this state motto almost literally and even believe that it is indeed the Land of Enchantment in more ways than one.

Some even seem to regard New Mexico as a state that has always been (and continues to be) filled with unexplained mysteries, especially when it comes to UFOs and paranormal phenomena.

Of course New Mexico has Roswell, world famous for its alleged 1947 "crash" incident.
What really took place in July of 1947 outside of Roswell no one knows for sure.
Perhaps there may be prosaic explanations to that incident.
But, again, no one knows for sure.

We have also heard about alleged crashes near Corona, also near Magdalena and in the Plains of San Agustin, all in New Mexico.

The bottom line to me is that whether it really took place or not ( i.e., the alleged crash of an "extraterrestrial" spacecraft, as had been so claimed and described by witnesses at that time) is really not what matters the most.

Besides, it seems that we do not have a single publicly acknowledged solid, tangible, physical, irrefutable documentary evidence that we have ever been (or are being) visited by physical extraterrstrial aliens in physical extraterrestrial spacecraft.

But this does not mean at all that the UFO phenomenon does not exist.
In fact, the UFO phenomenon seems to remain a great mystery, even from time immemorial.
It's just that we cannot come to any hasty conclusions equating this phenomenon with physical extraterrestrial visitations.
That's the bottom line.

But what is more important than all this is the indelible psychological imprint this type of alleged incidents has left in the "psyche" of a segment of the population and created a subculture of its own.

Besides Roswell we also have Socorro, site of a well-known April, 1964 alleged landing incident, allegedly witnessed by a Highway Patrol officer by the name of Lonnie Zamora.

(Speaking of April of 1964, some "ufologists" even seem to claim that a contact/landing incident had also taken place at Holloman Air Force Base at White Sands Missile Range.)

And, just east of Socorro and next to the northern limits of White Sands Missile Range is a small town called San Antonio where rumors have existed of a crash of what was then described as a mysterious object in the summer of 1945.

(By the way, it is said that in 1945, immediately after the conclusion of World War II, hundreds of German scientists, engineers and even some former SS intelligence officers were brought to the U.S. through a program called Operation Paperclip. Many were said to have arrived from Ohio's Wright Patterson Army Air Base and temporarily housed at Albuquerque's Kirtland Army Air Base - Kirtland AFB today. Some of these German scientists were then transferred to Los Alamos National Laboratory. And if we look towards the Four Corners area we have Farmington (site of an alleged mass sightings of UFOs in March of 1950), Aztec (site of an alleged 1948 "crash" outside the town) and Dulce (site of an alleged underground base and bio-lab, as well as being the site of numerous "cattle mutilations" that took place especially between the mid 1970s and the 1980s) and many other places filled with UFO lore.

In northern New Mexico we also have Taos, site of the many claims of strange "hums" reportedly heard by many residents in the early 1980s.

In northeastern New Mexico we have a small town of Cimarron where, in 1979, a lady by the name of Myrna Hansen claimed to have experienced an alien abduction, the first of its kind in New Mexico.
This case had received quite an attention, especially since an Albuquerque scientist and defense contractor, the late Paul Bennewitz of Thunder Scientific Corporation (that still does business with Kirtland AFB), investigated this case and led him to theorize that she may have been temporarily taken into an underground facilty in Dulce.

(Or was this all part of Psychological Operations program created and manipulated by the OSI at Kirtland AFB?)

Yes, this all sounded too bizarre (and continues to be so) to most people who are in the mainstream of society.

Everything discussed so far has been brought up with the important qualifer, "alleged".

But from here on, let me give you some facts, not allegations.

New Mexico is home to Los Alamos National Laboratories, probably the nation's most advanced conglomerate research community, even in the field of DNA/genetics research.

(By the way, here is an interesting fact. Most people today haven't the slightest knowledge that in December of 1967, the U.S. government had exploded a nuclear device in northern New Mexico, a mile and a half underground, just southwest of Dulce, purportedly to ease the flow of natural gas thought to have been entrapped beneath beneath layers and layers of hard rocks. That experiment was called Project Gasbuggy. The Ground Zero site of this 1967 experiment is open to the public today. There is a government plaque there that marks the exact spot. A few years ago I had a privilege of visiting this site, guided by a Jicarilla Apache person from Dulce.)

In Southern New Mexico, there is the White Sands Missile Range where America's most advanced directed energy weapons (laser/microwave) systems are being tested.

But there is more to it.

Albuquerque itself is the site of Kirtland Air Force Base, Manzano Underground Nuclear Storage Facility, as well as Sandia Labs and Phillips/Air Force Research Labs, probably two of America's most advanced military technological research labs.

Yes, there is a large presence of defense contractors, engineers and scientists who live in the Albuquerque area.
They say that in New Mexico there are more scientists and engineers per population than in any other state.
(Despite the ironical fact that when it comes to public education, New Mexico ranks about 48th nationally).

Whether one is a believer or a skeptic in all this, it is nevertheless fascinating to observe how a segment of the population's beliefs have impacted the society, culture and subculture, especially here in the Land of Enchantment.

This is all about beliefs.
It is similar to religious beliefs.
It is human nature to have religious beliefs and it has little to do with educational levels of the person.
Even a nuclear physicist may have no qualms about believing in God or in angels or demons.

What is "reality" to one person may not be the same as another person's view of "reality".
The study of various levels of "reality' as well as "dimensions and time" is a very important aspect of quantum physics today.

The bottom line to all this is that we still do not know for sure what "reality" is.

THOSE WHO WANT TO KNOW THE TRUTH:

The real problem here is not if Unidentified Aerial Phenomena exist. Of course UAP (UFO) exist.

The authentic dilemma is what these UAP are.

Now if you want to know the truth, you must do research. On the contrary, if you want to sell books of promote yourself; then you must go into some kind of new religion, because religion doesn’t work with evidences, but with Faith.

If you are into this, you only need a charismatic individual who will teach you what was revealed to him/her by gods, angels, ghosts or extraterrestrials.

Consequently, all those who ask for evidences are ipso facto condemned because they don’t have Faith.

It’s simple like that.

If you believe that UFO are extraterrestrial crafts, and you recognize that this is hypothetic, that is fine. You will work with your hypothesis and try to find evidences.

Personally, after 40 years of research, I think that the entities responsible for the unidentified phenomenon are not extraterrestrials. I think also that we have historical evidences that the UFO phenomenon is with us from the beginning of times. (See UFO in art and historical narrative.)

Now, I don’t know who these entities are, but they behave as Time Travelers. Perhaps they just come from our distant future. Apparently any direct contact would be impossible if they do not want to disrupt the time continuum. (Think in the paradox of not killing your grandparents if you want to exist.)

Possible I am wrong. Mine is nothing but a hypothesis, and if I begin to talk about the messages of the time travelers, this means that I am insane. There are not such messages.

Perhaps the Entities are not time travelers, but something else, something that I cannot understand at all; something so complex that nobody can understand.

What I cannot do is to talk about what I ignore. Those who do this are either charlatans or crazy.

Most conspiracy theories don't make sense nor withstand any scrutiny. They usually involve operations so immense that it's basically impossible for them to be kept secret, and all the proof given by conspiracy theorists usually have a very simple explanation (usually much simpler than the explanation given by the theorists).

Yet conspiracy theories are very popular and appealing. Even when they don't make sense and there's just no proof, many people still believe them. Why?

One big reason for this is that some conspiracy theorists are clever. They use psychology to make their theories sound more plausible. They appeal to certain psychological phenomena which make people to tend to believe them. However, these psychological tricks are nothing more than logical fallacies. They are simply so well disguised that many people can't see them for what they are.

Here are some typical logical fallacies used by conspiracy theorists:

Appeal to the "bandwagon effect"

The so-called "bandwagon effect" is a psychological phenomenon where people are eager to believe things if most of the people around them believe that too. Sometimes that thing is true and there's no harm, but sometimes it's a misconception, urban legend or, in this case, an unfounded conspiracy theory, in which case the "bandwagon effect" bypasses logical thinking for the worse.

The most typical form of appealing to the bandwagon effect is to say something along the lines of "30% of Americans doubt that..." or "30% of Americans don't believe the official story". This is also called an argumentum ad populum, which is a logical fallacy.

Of course that kind of sentence in the beginning of a conspiracy theory doesn't make any sense. It doesn't prove anything relevant. It's not like the theory becomes more true if more people believe in it.

Also the percentage itself is always very dubious. It may be completely fabricated or exaggerated by interpreting the poll results conveniently (eg. one easy way for bumping up the percentage is to interpret all people who didn't answer or who didn't know what to say as "doubting the official story"). Even if it was a completely genuine number, it would still not be proof of anything else than that there's a certain amount of gullible people in the world.

That kind of sentence is not proof of anything, yet it's one of the most used sentences in conspiracy theories. It tries to appeal to the bandwagon effect. It's effectively saying: "Already this many people doubt the official story, and the numbers are increasing. Are you going to be left alone believing the official story?"

Appeal to rebellion

Conspiracy theories in general, and the "n% of people doubt the story" claims in particular, also appeal to a sense of rebellion in people.
As Wikipedia puts it, "a rebellion is, in the most general sense, a refusal to accept authority."
People don't want to be sheep who are patronized by authority and told what they have to do and how they have to think. People usually distrust authorities and many believe that authorities are selfish and abuse people for their own benefit. This is an extremely fertile ground for conspiracy theories.

This is so ingrained in people that a sentence like "the official story" has basically become a synonym for "a coverup/lie". Whenever "the official story" is mentioned, it immediately makes people think that it's some kind of coverup, something not true.

Conspiracy theorists are masters at abusing this psyhcological phenomenon for their advantage. They basically insinuate that "if you believe the official story then you are gullible because you are being lied to". They want to make it feel that doubting the original story is a sign of intelligence and logical thinking. However, believing a conspiracy theory usually shows, quite ironically, a great lack of logical thinking.

This is an actual quote from a JFK assassination conspiracy theory website. It's almost as hilarious as it is contradictory:
In the end, you have to decide for yourself what to believe. But don't just believe what the U.S. Government tells you!
(In other words, believe anything you want except the official story!)

Shotgun argumentation

"Shotgun argumentation" is a metaphor from real life: It's much easier to hunt a rabbit with a shotgun than with a rifle. This is because a rifle only fires one bullet and there's a high probability of a miss. A shotgun, however, fires tens or even hundreds of small pellets, and the probability of at least one of them hitting the rabbit is quite high.
Shotgun argumentation has the same basic idea: The more small arguments or "evidence" you present in favor of some claim, the higher the probability that someone will believe you regardless of how ridiculous those arguments are. There are two reasons for this:

Firstly, just the sheer amount of arguments or "evidence" may be enough to convince someone that something strange is going on. The idea is basically: "There is this much evidence against the official story, there must be something wrong with it." One or two pieces of "evidence" may not be enough to convince anyone, but collect a set of a couple of hundreds of pieces of "evidence" and it immediately starts being more believable.

Of course the fallacy here is that the amount of "evidence" is in no way proof of anything. The vast majority, and usually all of this "evidence" is easily explainable and just patently false. There may be a few points which may be more difficult to explain, but they alone wouldn't be so convincing.

Secondly, and more closely related to the shotgun metaphor : The more arguments or individual pieces of "evidence" you have, the higher the probability that at least some of them will convince someone. Someone might not get convinced by most of the arguments, but among them there may be one or a few which sounds so plausible to him that he is then convinced. Thus one or a few of the "pellets" hit the "rabbit" and killed it: Mission accomplished.

I have a concrete example of this:

I had a friend who is academically educated, a MSc, and doing research work (relating to computer science) at a university. He is rational, intelligent and well-educated.
Yet still this person, at least some years ago, completely believed the Moon hoax theory. Why? He said to me quite explicitly that there was one thing that convinced him: The flag moving after it had been planted on the ground.
One of the pellets had hit the rabbit and killed it. The shotgun argumentation had been successful.

If even highly-educated academic people can fall for such "evidence" (which is easily explained), how more easily are more "regular" people going to believe the sheer amount of them? Sadly, quite a lot more easily.

Most conspiracy theorists continue to present the same old tired arguments which are very easy to prove wrong. They need all those arguments, no matter how ridiculous, for their shotgun argumentation tactics to work.

Straw man argumentation

A "straw man argument" is the process of taking an argument of the opponent, distorting it or taking it out of context so that it basically changes meaning, and then ridiculing it in order to make the opponent look bad.
For example, a conspiracy theorist may say something like: "Sceptics argue that stars are too faint to see in space (which is why there are no stars in photographs), yet astronauts said that they could see stars."

This is a perfect example of a straw man argument. That's taking an argument completely out of context and changing its meaning.

It's actually a bit unfortunate that many debunking sites use the sentence "the stars are too faint to be seen" when explaining the lack of stars in photographs. That sentence, while in its context not false, is confusing and misleading. It's trying to put in simple words a more technical explanation (which usually follows). Unfortunately, it's too simplistic and good material for straw man arguments. I wish debunkers stopped using simplistic sentences like that one.
(The real explanation for the lacking stars is, of course, related to the exposure time and shutter aperture of the cameras, which were set to photograph the Moon surface illuminated by direct sunlight. The stars are not bright enough for such short exposure times. If the cameras had been set up to photograph the stars, the lunar surface would have been completely overexposed. This is basic photography.)

Another straw man, still related to stars, which I have seen is simply "they claim that you can't see stars in space" (referring to some kind of notion that stars are too small and far away to be seen directly, and that they are visible from Earth only because the atmosphere scatters their light making them look bigger). This is simply a lie. I don't think any debunker has ever said that a person cannot see stars in space. (Even if someone has, he is obviously wrong. However, that's irrelevant to whether the explanation for the lack of stars is wrong or not.)

Citing inexistent sources

There's a very common bad habit among the majority of people: They believe that credible sources have said/written whatever someone claims they have said or written. Even worse, most people believe that a source is credible or even exists just because someone claims that it is credible and exists. People almost never check that the source exists, that it's a credible source and that it has indeed said what was claimed.

Conspiracy theorists know this and thus abuse it to the maximum. Sometimes they fabricate sources or stories, and sometimes they just cite nameless sources (using expressions like "experts in the field", "most astronomers", etc).

This is an actual quote from the same JFK assassination conspiracy theory website as earlier:
Scientists examined the Zapruder film. They found that, while most of it looks completely genuine, some of the images are impossible. They violate the laws of physics. They could not have come from Zapruder's home movie camera.

Needless to say, the web page does not give any references or sources, or any other indication of who these unnamed "scientists" might be or what their credentials are. (My personal guess is that whenever the website uses the word "scientist" or "researcher", it refers to other conspiracy theorists who have no actual education and competence on the required fields of science, and who are, like all such conspiracy theorists, just seeing what they want to see.)

Citing sources which are wrong

A common tactic of conspiracy theorists is to take statements by credible persons or newspaper articles which support the conspiracy theory and present these statements or articles as if they were the truth. If a later article in the same newspaper corrects the mistake in the earlier article or if the person who made the statement later says that he was wrong or quoted out of context (ie. he didn't mean what people thought he was meaning), conspiracy theorists happily ignore them.
Since people seldom check the sources, they will believe that the statement or newspaper article is the only thing that person or newspaper has said about the subject.

This is closely related to (and often overlaps with) the concept of quote mining (which is the practice of carefully selecting small quotes, which are often taken completely out of context, from a vast selection of material, in such a way that these individual quotes seem to support the conspiracy theory).
Sometimes that source is not credible (because it's just another conspiracy theorist) but people have little means of knowing this.

Cherry-picking

Cherry-picking is more a deliberate act of deception than a logical fallacy, but nevertheless an extremely common tactic.
Cherry-picking happens when someone deliberately selects from a wide variety of material only those items which support the conspiracy theory, while ignoring and discarding those which don't. When this carefully chosen selection of material is then presented as a whole, it easily misleads people into thinking that the conspiracy theory is supported by evidence.

This is an especially popular tactic for the 9/11 conspiracy theorists: They will only choose those published photographs which support their claims, while outright ignoring those which don't. The Loose Change "documentary" is quite infamous for doing this, and pulling it out rather convincingly.

The major problem with this is, of course, that it's pure deception: The viewer is intentionally given only carefully selected material, while leaving out the parts which would contradict the conspiracy theory. This is a deliberate act. The conspiracy theorists cannot claim honesty while doing clear cherry-picking.

Just one example: There's a big electrical transformer box outside the Pentagon which was badly damaged by the plane before it hit the building. It's impossible for that box to get that damage if the building was hit by a missile, as claimed by conspiracy theorists (the missile would have exploded when hitting the box, several tens of meters away from the building). Conspiracy theorists will usually avoid using any photographs which show the damaged transformer box because it contradicts their theory. They are doing this deliberately. They cannot claim honesty while doing this.

Argument from authority

Scientists are human, and thus imperfect and fallible. Individual scientists can be dead wrong, make the wrong claims and even be deceived into believing falsities. Being a scientist does not give a human being some kind of magic power to resist all deceptions and delusions, to see through all tricks and fallacies and to always know the truth and discard what is false.

But science does not stand on individual scientists, for this exact reason. This is precisely why the scientific process requires so-called peer reviews. One scientist can be wrong, ten scientists can be wrong, and even a hundred scientists can be wrong, but when their claims are peer-reviewed and studied by the whole scientific community, the likelihood of the falsities not being caught decreases dramatically.

It's very likely that someone somewhere is going to object and to raise questions if there's something wrong with a claim, and this will raise the consciousness of the whole community. Either the objections are dealt with and explained, or the credibility of the claim gets compromised. A claim does not become accepted by the scientific community unless it passes the peer reviewing test. And this is why science works. It does not rely on individuals, but on the whole.

Sometimes some individual scientists can be deceived into believing a conspiracy theory. As said, scientists do not have any magical force that keeps them from being deceived. Due to their education the likelihood might be slightly lower than with the average person, but in no way is it completely removed. Scientists can and do get deceived by falsities.

Thus sometimes the conspiracy theorists will convince some PhD or other such person of high education and/or high authority, and if this person becomes vocal enough, the conspiracy theorists will then use him as an argument pro the conspiracy. It can be rather convincing if conspiracy theorists can say "numerous scientists agree that the official explanation cannot be true, including (insert some names here)".
However, this is a fallacy named argument from authority. Just because a PhD makes a claim doesn't make it true. Even if a hundred PhD's make that claim. It doesn't even make it any more credible.
As said, individual scientists can get deceived and deluded. However, as long as their claims do not pass the peer review process, their claims are worth nothing from a scientific point of view.

Argument from ignorance

In this fallacy the word "ignorance" is not an insult, but refers to the meaning of "not knowing something".
Simply put, argument from ignorance happens when something with no apparent explanation is pointed out (for example in a photograph), and since there's no explanation, it's presented as evidence of foul play (eg. that the photograph has been manipulated).

This can be seen as somewhat related to cherry-picking: The conspiracy theorist will point out something in the source material or the accounts of the original event which is not easy to immediately explain. A viewer with no experience nor expertise on the subject matter might be unable to come up with an explanation, or to identify the artifact/phenomenon. The conspiracy theorist then abuses this to claim that the unexplained artifact or phenomenon is evidence of fakery or deception.
Of course this is a fallacy. Nothing can be deduced from an unexplained phenomenon or artifact. As long as you don't know what it is, you can't take it as evidence of anything.
(In most cases such things have a quite simple and logical explanation; it's just that in order to figure it out, you need to have the proper experience on the subject, or alternatively to have someone with experience explain it to you. After that it becomes quite self-evident. It's a bit like a magic trick: When you see it, you can't explain how it works, but when someone explains it to you, it often is outright disappointingly simple.)
It might sound rather self-evident when explained like this, but people still get fooled in an actual situation.

Argument from (personal) incredulity

In its most basic and bare-bones from, argument from incredulity takes the form of "I can't even begin to imagine how this can work / be possible, hence it must be fake". This is a variation or subset of the argument from ignorance. Of course conspiracy theorists don't state the argument so blatantly, but use much subtler expressions.
Example: Some (although not all) Moon Landing Hoax conspiracy theorists state that the Moon Lander could have not taken off from the surface of the Moon, because a rocket on its bottom side would have made it rotate wildly and randomly.

In essence what the conspiracy theorist is saying is "I don't understand how rocketry can work, hence this must be fake", and trying to convince the reader of the same.
The problem of basic rocketry (ie. how a rocket with a propulsion system at its back end can maintain stability and fly straight) is indeed quite a complex and difficult one (which is where the colloquial term "rocket science", meaning something extremely complicated and difficult, comes from), but it was solved in the 1920's and 30's. This isn't even something you have to understand or even take on faith: It's something you can see with your own eyes (unless you believe all the videos you have ever seen of missiles and rockets are fake).

Pareidolia

Pareidolia is also not a logical fallacy per se, but more a fallacy of perception.
Pareidolia is, basically, the phenomenon which happens when we perceive recognizable patterns in randomness, even though the patterns really aren't there. For example, random blotches of paint might look like a face, or random noise might sound like a spoken word (or even a full sentence).

Pareidolia is a side effect of pattern recognition in our brain. Our visual and auditory perception is heavily based on pattern recognition. It's what helps us understanding spoken languages, even if it's spoken by different people with different voices, at different speeds and with different accents. It's what helps us recognizing objects even if they have a slightly different shape or coloring which we have never seen before. It's what helps us recognize people and differentiate them from each other. It's what helps us reading written text at amazing speeds by simply scanning the written lines visually (you are doing precisely that right now). In fact, we could probably not even survive without pattern recognition.
This pattern recognition is also heavily based on experience: We tend to recognize things like shapes and sounds when we have previous experience from similar shapes and sounds. Also the context helps us in this pattern recognition, often very significantly. When we recognize the context, we tend to expect certain things, which in turn helps us making the pattern recognition more easily and faster. For example, if you open a book, you already expect to see text inside, and you are already prepared to recognize it. In a context which is completely unrelated to written text (for a completely random example, if you are examining your fingernails) you are not expecting to see text, and thus you don't recognize it as easily.

Pareidolia happens when our brain recognizes, or thinks it recognizes, patterns where there may be only randomness, or in places which are not random per se, but completely unrelated to this purported "pattern".

As noted, pareidolia is greatly helped if we are expecting to see a certain pattern. This predisposes our brain to try to recognize that exact thing, making it easier.
This is the very idea in so-called backmasking: Playing a sound, for example a song, backwards and then recognizing something in the garbled sounds that result from this. When we are not expecting anything in particular, we usually only hear garbled noises. However, if someone tells us what we should expect, we immediately "recognize" it.

However, we are just fooling our own pattern recognition system into perceiving something which isn't really there. If someone else is told to expect a slightly similar-sounding, but different message, that other person is very probably going to hear that. You and that other person are both being mislead by playing with the pattern recognition capabilities of your brain.
Conspiracy theorists love abusing pareidolia. They will make people see patterns where there are none, and people will be fooled into believing that the patterns really are there, and thus are proof of something.

The perception of UFOs as physical alien spacecraft piloted or maneuvered by physical alien entitites continues to dominate Ufology solely for the purpose of convenience.

It is important to take into consideration that UFO reports may not necessarily be caused by visits from space travelers.

Alternate realities co-exist with us, making it extremely difficult to define "reality" through our limited empirical understanding and our inability to detect them via the five senses.

For many years, the civilian intelligence communities (as well as part of the public sector) seemed to have been aware of CIA's connection and presence at Arizona's Marana facility (a.k.a., Pinal Air Park or EVERGREEN AIR facility).

In the early 1990s, rumors began to circulate that the Marana facility (7 miles northwest of Marana) had been utilized by what was allegedly known then as the Multi-jurisdictional Task Force.

A friend of mine who, in 1991, was a commercial pilot for the American Airlines told me back then that one weekday (during his day off from work) he rented a Cessna plane and decided to fly over the Marana complex, just for curiosity.

He told me that while he was flying over the facility, he distinctly heard from his radio transmission the code word "MAJIC" several times. I thought that was quite interesting.

The rumors had it then that the facility was a training area for special helicopters as well as for other Black Ops programs. A school for governmental limo drivers was even said to have been there.

A few years ago I drove straight to this Pinal Air Park and was told to turn around and leave immediately at the Guard Shack. Even today this facility is guarded by a private security force. (I am not certain if it is Wackenhut or not).

Since around February of 2010, another strange rumor about this "suspicious" facility has been circulating. (at least among some who hold on to conspiracy theories!!)

By the way anyone can clearly see this facility on Google Earth....just go to Marana in Arizona and look for Pinal Air Park, about 7 miles northwest of Marana.

Anyway, it is quite possible that, at one time, Pinal Air Park may have been used as a logistics airport for some CIA-involved operations.

Pinal Air Park claims that today it is nothing but a "boneyard" for civilian commercial aircraft, utilizing the dry desert climate to prevent any form of corrosion and says that it is one of the largest aircraft graveyards in the U.S.

It is quite difficult to state for sure what is really going on at Pinal Airpark.
Speculations abound.

Nellis AFB range commander keeps his cool in a rare 1998 interview !!

Here is a rare, 1998 "interview" with Nellis AFB range commander by my former colleague, Anthony J. Hilder.

This impromptu "interview" was held during a break between various speakers at a public hearing held in Las Vegas and organized by Nellis Air Force Base to discuss the aquisition of additional 4000 acres of public land as a buffer zone to the buffer zone at Area 51.

Anthony Hilder and I both attended this hearing which was held at El Dorado High School in Las Vegas. We both spoke at the hearing.

What was most amazing about this interview was that the commander did not expect such an impromptu "interview" which lasted close to 10 minutes.

However, the commander surprisingly kept his cool throughout the grueling, tough questioning by conspiracy-promoting Anthony J. Hilder.
Anthony J. Hilder pulled no punches.
But my hat's off to the Commander for keeping his cool. He responded to the questions exactly as he was trained to do.

This historical "interview" was one of the most serious (but yet most amazing, amusing, historical and even hysterical) interviews I have ever witnessed with my own eyes. I was right next to Hilder, looking at the Commander.

(Actually I felt a little embarassed when Anthony began to bombard him with questions I am sure that sounded "nuttier" and "nuttier" to the commander).

According to a military aviation historian, Commander Percival was, at that time, a wing commander not of Detachment 3 of the Air Force Flight Test Center (DET 3, AFFTC, the official name for the "operating base near Groom Lake", Nevada, a.k.a., Area 51, assigned, managed and operated by Edwards AFB AFFTC) but a wing commander of Nellis Air Force Range itself, which is not directly affiliated with the operations at Groom Lake.

By the way, the U.S. government (through the Department of Energy) finally began to compensate these workers who were sickened while they worked at Groom Lake. The reason for their illnesses was primarily because they were contaminated by toxic chemicals used in stealth programs (stealth coatings, etc.) at the base and not because of bacteriological weapons.

My perspective on the UFO phenomenon is based on the propositions made by both Dr. Jacques Vallee and Tomas Scolarici (a.k.a., James Black):

1. "The things we call unidentified flying objects are neither objects nor flying.
They can materialize, as some reliable photographs seem to show, and they violate the laws of motion as we know them".

2. "Those unidentified flying objects that remain UNIDENTIFIED and challenge any natural definition, are not a new phenomenon.
These "Entities" are with us from the beginning of our historical times, and perhaps before."

I am in total agreement with both Dr. Jacques Vallee and Tomas Solarici, a.k.a., James Black.
Yes, they summarize my personal position on the entire UFO phenomenon.
This is the reason why, in my opinion, there will be no such thing as DISCLOSURE by the government.
Sure, the governments of the world could release ALL files on UFO sightings anytime, if they wish to.
However, just releasing such files will do absolutely nothing, since the public will clamor for the explanations as to what the UFO phenomenon is.
The government is only responsible for explaining things that deal with physical, tangible, solid, empirical evidence as we know them.
Anything else, the governmet is not in the business of dealing with.
If there will be any DISCLOSURE, it will come directly from the "Entities" themselves or from a paradigm-shifted majority of mankind (which has not happened yet).

P.S.

Although some people may label me as a UFO skeptic, I have never been (and will never be) a UFO debunker.

I have researched the phenomenon for more than 45 years, and although it seems (at least to me) that there appears to be no physical, tangible, irrefutable evidence whatsoever that we have ever been visited by physical extraterrestrials in physical UFOs, I have never been (and will never be) a debunker.

The UFO phenomenon and the "belief in UFOs" (as physical spacecraft piloted or maneuvered by physical aliens from elsewhere in the universe) are separate matters.

It is highly likely that the U.S. intelligence communities as well as the military have manipulated (and in some instances even created) a segment of the population's "belief in UFOs" as part of counter intelligence operations. Many defense contractors still continue to create cover stories to conceal or detract attention away from public's scrutiny of sensitive defense programs.
Yes, people's "belief in UFOs" is a very important factor in all of this.

What about alien visitations?
As most UFO enthusiasts have heard already, theoretical physicist Stephen Hawking (one of the most brilliant minds of our time) recently made several statements suggesting that there OUGHT to be extraterrestrial life and civilization elsewhere in this vast universe.

But he also made a puzzling statement (a statement which has not been popular with most UFO enthusiasts) saying that "aliens have never visited earth in UFOs and will never visit earth in UFOs".

Here is what he said: "I discount suggestions that UFOs contain beings from outer space. I think any visits by aliens would be much more obvious, and probably also, much more unpleasant."

"What is the explanation of why we have not been visited? One possibility is that the argument about the appearance of life on Earth, is wrong. Maybe the probability of life spontaneously appearing is so low, that Earth is the only planet in the galaxy, or in the observable universe, in which it happened. Another possibility is that there was a reasonable probability of forming self reproducing systems, like cells, but that most of these forms of life did not evolve intelligence."

"I am discounting reports of UFOs".
So, basically, Stephen Hawking thinks aliens exist somewhere in the universe but doesn't believe any are visiting us.

Stephen Hawking is not only skeptical about UFOs but also about alien abductions.

Yes, it is true that I consider myself a UFO skeptic when it comes to alien visitations.
I was a strong proponent of the E.T. hypothesis of the origins of UFOs up till the late 1970s when I began to abandon that theory. That was when I became a UFO skeptic.
But I consider myself a "healthy" skeptic.
That is to say, my policy is to give an opportunity to any sincere researcher to express their viewpoints, even if I may not agree with them.

Do I believe in the existence of "underground bases"?
Yes, certainly I believe that there may be "underground bases", large and small, in many locations but personally I tend to believe that those are government/military/scientific installations or laboratories that have nothing to do with aliens.
I still maintain that if, for example, the alleged Dulce underground installations in New Mexico really exist, they would most likely be related to the U.S. government's biological warfare research facilities.
However, as difficult as this may be for me to say, I do not rule out anything.

Yes, "healthy" skepticism is very important because it does not completely leave the door closed.
The door must be kept open, even slightly, for any possibility.
I am a believer in open platforms so that people with other viewpoints could freely express their opinions.

A suspicious ranch at the foothills of Archuleta Mesa on the Colorado side?

November 11, 2010 was quite an interesting day for me.

A good colleague of mine from Dulce and I drove the entire circumference of the Archuleta Mesa, beginning from County Rd. 357 (going north) from Highway 64 in Lumberton to view the eastern slope and then entering into Colorado (near Edith), and then going west and then north on County Rd. 359 (Coyote Park Rd.) and then going northeast on County Rd. 542 (Montezuma Rd.) and then viewing the northern foothills of the Mesa.

From there we went south on County Rd. 500 (south Trujillo Rd.) and then to Indian Rte 169 (Juanita Rd.), crossing into New Mexico side to see the Western Slope and finally to the southern hills of the Mesa along the Navajo River north of the town of Dulce. All these roads were dirt roads.
We drove about 45 miles to take the entire trip around the Mesa.
This really showed me how large the entire Archuleta Mesa area is.
(By the way the Archuleta Mesa includes Mount Archuleta on the west side, just south of the Colorado state line).

In this trip we did not see anything unusual, except for a somewhat suspicious-looking private ranch (the Redding Ranch) on the northern side of the Archuleta Mesa (the Colorado side).

There seemed to be a metallic hangar-like building in the ranch and, if that is the case, then most likely a landing strip behind it.
There were some small buildings in the ranch, along with four or five metallic (bullet-proof?) hunting-towers that seem to guard the area. Those hunting towers definitely seemed out of place in such an area.
This former private ranch (the Redding Ranch) changed hands many times and is now under the total control of the Utes of Southern Colorado, and the warning sign says "No Trespassing" and "property of the Utes tribe". Could this be an outpost for a base or an operating area in Archuleta Mesa?

It seemed to me that this type of a compound could easily be used by any Black Ops programs.
Moreover, the Redding Ranch may be the only access to the Archuleta Mesa from the Colorado side.

As for the Eastern slope areas of Archueta Mesa (as we drove on County Rd. 357 from Lumberton towards Edith), it seems that the Mesa is inaccessible to any heavy traffic (such as trucks, etc) since it is protected by the river and since there are no bridges on any northeastern portion of the mesa.

According to the Air Force Colonel from whom Anthony Sanchez got the information, the second, two-level underground installation is located in an area between the Eastern slope of Archuleta Mesa and County Rd. 357, near the Colorado stateline.

True, it seems that there are some ranches (which could easily be used as outposts for any Black Ops programs) near the northerneastern portion of the Mesa on the Colorado side. However, the logistics involved in creating such an alleged entrance and concealed heli-pads in that area may have been difficult or nearly impossible with lack of any bridges to get to the Eastern as well as to the Northeastern slope.
As I just mentioned it seems that the only access to the Mesa from the northeastern side or from the North side of the Mesa (i.e., from the Colorado side) may be from the Redding Ranch.

Anyway, as I mentioned, we continued driving further westward from the Redding Ranch area (still on County Rd. 542 - i.e., Montezuma Rd. - and then turned southward towards New Mexico from County Rd. 500 (Trujillo Rd.).
Then we took Indian Rte 169 (Juanita Rd., which is a public road) and entered New Mexico through County Rd. 551 (which is also a public road) to view the Western hills of the Mesa, which is also very rugged area.
Then we turned eastward on J-9 Rd. (a public road) towards Dulce.

J-9 Rd. splits into two, one becoming the Narrow Gage Rd. (also a public road which becomes Jicarilla Rd. that merges with Hwy 64 which takes you in front of Best Western and then on to Lumberton and to Chama) and the other one which becomes J-2 Rd. (also a public road).

The J-2 Rd. (a public road) is the road alongside the southern rugged hills of Archuleta Mesa.
About a third of a mile on J-2 Rd. (from the juncture of J-9 Rd. and J-2 Rd.) there is a steep road that takes you towards the summit of Mount Archuleta. Legally one must be accompanied by a Jicarilla Apache person in order to drive or hike on this steep road. Mount Archuleta is located near the west side of the Mesa slightly south of the Colorado stateline. It definitely seems that one would need a 4-wheel drive just to drive on that steep, rugged road towards the Mountain.

Then about a mile or so east on J-2 Rd., there is a steep road towards the Mesa called the Seguro Canyon Rd. This also seems to be a rugged road and probably the only road that will take you only to a point one third (if one is willing to hike for two or three hours further) to the radio antenna towers of the Archuleta Mesa). Legally one must also be accompanied by a Jicarilla Apache person in order to drive or hike on this road.

All of this shows that the access to Archuleta Mesa from the southern hills is extremely difficult, unless one is willing to hike for 5 or 6 hours to the top of the Mesa on the eastern side (the communications towers area) from these two steep roads. Moreover, as I mentioned, legally one must be accompanied by a Jicarilla Apache person to get to the top.

The way to get back to Dulce from J-2 Rd. is to keep going east on J-2 Rd. Then you will cross the bridge which connects J-2 Rd. and the River Rd.
The River Rd. then becomes Hawks Dr. which takes you back to Best Western Hotel area on Hwy 64.

Ranch at Mt. Archuleta, New Mexico - Colorado Border:

"It has been reported in the media and on the internet that the Redding War Ranch, located at 37° 2.91' north latitude and 107° 1.44' west longitude (GPS) next to Mt. Archuleta (straddling New Mexico - Colorado border), is rumored to be an undercover facility engaged in secret activity connected with Mt. Archuleta. These rumors further state that the ranch has eight armed guard watch towers scattered along the property. In addition, there is an unusual round steel (and air conditioned) building located behind a ranch entrance gate on the opposite side of the property (37° 6.02' north latitude and 107° 2.85' west longitude - GPS).

A metal plaque prominently posted on a watch tower door identified the manufacturer as Houston Blow Pipe & Steel Plate Works (P.O. BOX 1692, Houston, TX 77251-1692, phone: 713-675-2273, FAX: 713-675-5038). Having seen the towers and being interested in their origin and purpose, a simple phone call was made to the phone number above. It was learned during the phone conversation that the President and CEO of the company is Mr. W. A. Redding. Contrary to the myths that have been perpetuated, a simple explanation was provided by Mr. Redding.

1) Mr. Redding stated that the watch towers are actually hunting stands with the brand name "The Ultimate Hunting Stand." The hunting stands on the ranch are weather proof-heavy gauge steel construction (5 feet diameter, 850 pounds est. total weight) equipped with 10 feet high steel angle frame supports, steel ladder or a steel walk-up type stairway with steel pipe hand railing, propane heater and tank, five large one way mirror-pane plate glass (hinged and latched) windows (hunters can see out, but game cannot see inside), swivel chair, and indoor-outdoor carpet on floor and side wall. Further, the stands are used for photographing game and birds, and hunting of game (deer, elk, javelina, moose, sheep and turkeys). According to published literature, the stands have been in production since 1963 and employ 75 years of hunting and 60 years of steel fabrication experience in their design for all-weather hunting.

2) The round steel building is a bunk house for ranch hands designed and manufactured by Mr. Redding's Houston steel company. The bunk house design employs the same all-weather heavy gauge steel construction as the hunting stands along with air conditioning and fuel-oil heater. It is not currently being used.

3) The owner of the Redding War Ranch is Mr. Redding himself. He can be contacted at the phone number given above.

4) The Redding War Ranch is used to raise small herds of Beefalo"

OR, IS THERE MORE TO THE REDDING RANCH THAN THE ABOVE EXPLANATION BY NIDS?

Yes, I think so.
Here is what my good colleague from Dulce says about this. And I agree with him:

"Based on the source of research by NIDS, yes, this was their take on the ranch years after the ranch let its defense down and allowed folks to travel through it.
From early 1960's to late 1980's, you could not trespass on the Redding ranch, not even to retrieve a cow.
Why?
That is the million dollar question.
And, why are all the structures including the towers, doors and windows in bunkhouse constructed of a very heavy gage steel (making them bullet proof)?
NIDS continues to provide information or is it disinformation? to keep us off track, in my opinion.

In the fall of 1997, I led Gabe Valdez (former New Mexico State Patrol Officer in charge of the Dulce area) and two other scientists from NIDS on the expedition and continued through up to Mt. Archuleta.

We were able to go directly to the towers, enter, photograph and see the tags with the manufacturer.
I told them that the glass, doors, shutters and structures were bullet-proof and was going to show them, but inexplicably, Gabe Valdez stopped me.
I could not get them to go to the "bunkhouse and hangar" to investigate further.
It seemed that they were not very interested in the facilities.
Also, I noticed that the airstrip had been plowed and planted with oats.
But again, no interest was shown by Gabe Valdez and the NIDS folks".

I could not agree with him more, especially his take on NIDS.
I also do not trust NIDS (National Institute of Discovery Sciences).

Some old but fascinating reports from Dulce, New Mexico residents

Here are some old but fascinating UFO sighting reports from Dulce, New Mexico residents.

The first one is actually a quote from an article written by reporter Tom Sharpe* that appeared on April 5, 1996 on Albuquerque Journal:

"Darren Vigil Gray says that in the late 1960s, when he was a fourth-grader on the Jicarilla Apache Reservation in northern Rio Arriba County, he saw a flying saucer on his way to parochial school about 6:30 a.m.
A "dirty metallic colored" disk about 20 feet in diameter passed about 50 feet in the air over his school bus between Dulce and Lumberton, he said.

"It created all this chaos on the bus", Gary said. He said his brother, then a sixth-grader, yelled, "It's a flying saucer", but the priest driving the van didn't stop to investigate the phenomenon and instead stepped on the gas.
Gray said the disk appeared to come from Archuleta Mesa and continued for several miles over the low hills south of the highway.
He said cattle mutilations soon began to be reported in the same area, and the mesa was said to be a sort of UFO base.
"The experience really changed my whole scope", said Gray, now a well-known artist in Santa Fe.

This is quite interesting because according to researcher Anthony Sanchez, an alleged former Air Force Colonel in California told Sanchez that one of the entrances to the base is located between the eastern slope of Archuleta Mesa and County Road 357 near the Colorado state line. County Road 357 going north starts on Highway 64 in Lumberton. Lumberton does have a well-known Catholic school and I clearly remember a teacher from that school testified at the 2009 Dulce base conference (held in Dulce, New Mexico) about some interesting artistic imagery (relating to many UFO sightings in that area) created by many children who attended that school.

I also just recently learned that one of the sons of Manuel Gomez (formerly the largest rancher in the Dulce area) was also in the same bus with Darren Vigil Gray.
Now a good colleague of mine and fellow researcher, he personally described to me the metallic, disc-shaped object that he saw from inside the same bus that morning.
According to him, the object was flying slightly above Highway 64.....only less than 10 feet above the highway.....and this took place between Dulce and Lumberton.
He told me that the bus driver, a priest from the Catholic school in Lumberton, got so scared that he began to step on the gas pedal and sped toward the school in Lumberton.

What is particularly interesting in the above interview is that the interviewee mentions about a possible UFO base south of Dulce between Dulce and Gobernador.
This is just south of Highway 64 and southwest from the juncture of Highway 64 and Highway 537.
Again, according to researcher Anthony Sanchez, an alleged former Air Force Colonel in California claimed to have stated that the third underground installation was right near Ground Zero area of the 1967 underground nuclear explosion. The colonel will not give the exact co-ordinates to the entrance of this third installation but he hints that it is not too far from Ground Zero.

By the way, here is how to get to the Ground Zero area of the 1967 underground nuclear explosion site:

From U.S. Highway 64 going southwest from Dulce, go past the juncture of Highway 64 and Highway 537. Keep on going for about another 6 and a half miles.
Then turn south onto BIA-J10.
After a little over 7 miles, bear right at the fork in the road.
Stay on this road.
You will enter Carson National Forest, and it's another half-mile to Ground Zero, where there is a U.S. government plaque.

*Former Albuquerque Journal reporter, Tom Sharpe, seemed to have believed that one of the origins of the rumors about the Dulce underground base and tunnels may have stemmed from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers' works on the San Juan-Chama Diversion Project (which may have started in the mid 1960s), involving some 100 miles of deep tunnels to channel water from the west side of the Continental Divide (near Dulce) to the east side.

Others trace the rumors to the 1967 underground experimental nuclear blast which took place about 22 miles southwest of Dulce. This U.S. governmental experiment, carried out by the Atomic Energy Commision, was called Project Gasbuggy and was purportedly conducted to ease the flow of natural gas in that region.
Some say that this may have caused creation of further cavities in that region, facilitating the creation of underground tunnels in that area.

On top of all this came the cattle mutilations which seemed to have started in the mid 1970s in that area, giving rise to the rumors about the already existent "alien" involvement in all of this.

MY SKEPTICISM ON UFOs AND ALIENS

Although some people often label me as a UFO skeptic, I have never been (and will never be) a UFO debunker.

I have researched the phenomenon for more than 45 years, and although it seems (at least to me) that there appears to be no physical, tangible, irrefutable evidence whatsoever that we have ever been visited by physical extraterrestrials in physical UFOs, I have never been (and will never be) a debunker.

The UFO phenomenon and the "belief in UFOs" (as physical spacecraft piloted or maneuvered by physical aliens from elsewhere in the universe) are separate matters.

It is highly likely that the U.S. intelligence communities as well as the military have manipulated (and in some instances even created) a segment of the population's "belief in UFOs" as part of counter intelligence operations. Many defense contractors still continue to create cover stories to conceal or detract attention away from public's scrutiny of sensitive defense programs.
Yes, people's "belief in UFOs" is a very important factor in all of this.

What about alien visitations?

As most UFO enthusiasts have heard already, theoretical physicist Stephen Hawking (one of the most brilliant minds of our time) recently made several statements suggesting that there OUGHT to be extraterrestrial life and civilization elsewhere in this vast universe.

But he also made a puzzling statement (a statement which has not been popular with most UFO enthusiasts) saying that "aliens have never visited earth in UFOs and will never visit earth in UFOs".

Here is what he said: "I discount suggestions that UFOs contain beings from outer space. I think any visits by aliens would be much more obvious, and probably also, much more unpleasant."

"What is the explanation of why we have not been visited? One possibility is that the argument about the appearance of life on Earth, is wrong. Maybe the probability of life spontaneously appearing is so low, that Earth is the only planet in the galaxy, or in the observable universe, in which it happened. Another possibility is that there was a reasonable probability of forming self reproducing systems, like cells, but that most of these forms of life did not evolve intelligence."

"I am discounting reports of UFOs."
So, basically, Stephen Hawking thinks aliens exist somewhere in the universe but doesn't believe any are visiting us.

Stephen Hawking is not only skeptical about UFOs but also about alien abductions.

Yes, it is true that I consider myself a UFO skeptic when it comes to alien visitations.
I was a strong proponent of the E.T. hypothesis of the origins of UFOs up till the late 1970s when I began to abandon that theory. That was when I became a UFO skeptic.
But I consider myself a "healthy" skeptic.
That is to say, my policy is to give an opportunity to any sincere researcher to express their viewpoints, even if I may not agree with them.

Do I believe in the existence of "underground bases"?
Yes, certainly I believe that there may be "underground bases", large and small, in many locations but personally I tend to believe that those are government/military/scientific installations or laboratories that have nothing to do with aliens.
I still maintain that if, for example, the alleged Dulce underground installations in New Mexico really exist, they would most likely be related to the U.S. government's biological warfare research facilities.
However, as difficult as this may be for me to say, I do not rule out anything.

Yes, "healthy" skepticism is very important because it does not completely leave the door closed.
The door must be kept open, even slightly, for any possibility.
I am a believer in open platforms so that people with other viewpoints could freely express their opinions.

The following item is not a brand new item, but it's just a reminder again that the people's grassroots movement can count. This item came in June of 2008. However, the applications process may still be ongoing.

This is worth mentioning since this is an indication that we the people can still have some positive effect in justifying the wrong done by the government.

I especially commend the efforts of many individuals, such as Attorney Jonathan Turley (George Washington University School of Law) and citizens' watchdog groups on government accountability, such as the Federation of American Scientists (FAS) that played a major role in bringing this issue to the government.

Not only do we have the right to know how our hard-earned tax dollars are being spent but also the right to know and be assured that all Black Project programs are conducted without any environmental infractions.

Likewise, in the next few years, our goal is to bring out to the public a possible cover-up of the alleged Dulce underground installations in New Mexico (suspected biological warfare research facilities?) (IF SUCH INSTALLATIONS ARE PROVEN TO EXIST) and their possible environmental infractions on Jicarilla Apache Indian Reservation.

FORMER AREA 51 WORKERS ELIGIBLE FOR AID -- Downwinder designation OK'd

WASHINGTON -- Former Department of Energy and contractor employees who worked at top secret Area 51 base now are eligible to seek health payments available to nuclear weapons workers who got sick from their jobs, a top federal official said Wednesday.

The announcement by Shelby Hallmark, director of the Office of Worker Compensation in the Labor Department, cleared an obstacle that has prevented some former Nevada workers from getting help to battle job-related cancers and other serious illnesses that showed up years after they completed careers at weapons sites.

Hallmark said the Labor Department has designated Area 51, the 60-square mile guarded installation on the northeast border of Nevada Test Site (*now renamed N2S2, National Security Site), as part of the test site for purposes of the Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation program.

Initial estimates varied widely of how many people might be eligible to gain payments, form less than a hundred to several thousand.

While the Energy Department controlled Area 51 for much of its history, the secret development of military aircraft and weaponry at the site was performed by Defense Department contractors who are not covered by the compensation law, Morgan said.

But John Funk, a Las Vegas advocate and former test site carpenter, said it was clear to workers employed by Bechtel Nevada, Reynolds Electrical and Engineering Company, EG & G Energy Measurements Inc., and Wackenhut Services, Inc., among other firms, that they were there at the behest of DOE and its predecessor agencies.

Funk said test site employees routinely were sent "over the hill" to the secret base. He said as many as 2,000 former workers may be covered.

"You can call them what you want, but they were all DOE workers", said Funk, chairman of the nonprofit Atomic Veterans and Victims of America.

Labor Department officials could not estimate the number of potentially covered workers.
Sen. Harry Reid, D-Nev., is attempting to clarify the eligibility question, aides said.

As for designating Area 51 part of the health program, Reid said, "This is very good news".

"I have been working for this for a long time now because these workers deserve a fair shake", Reid said. "Clearly, there are still some questions that need to be answered and I will continue to work to have those concerns addressed".

Hallmark said in an interview that examiners will identify all claims that have been filed to determine if they may be affected by the program expansion. Claims that have been denied may be reopened.

He suggessted former workers and their families who believe they may be affected should contact the Las Vegas Resource Center that processes claims under energy workers compensation act. The toll free number is: (866) 697-0841.

"We also will conduct other outreach efforst to get this information to all affected claimants and to all former NTS employees and their families who have yet to file a claim but may be affected by this change", Hallmark said.

The compensation law covers the Nevada Test Site and dozens of other Energy Department and contractor facilities where workers took part in nuclear weapons programs and could have been exposed to radiation and toxics.

Former workers who contracted cancers or other diseases linked to exposures to radiation, silica or beryllium are eligible for $150,000 lump sum payments and medical expenses. Another part of the program provides worker compensation-style payments for job-related illnesses.

The Labor Department declared eligibility for DOE workers who were at Area 51 for the period between January 1, 1958 through December 31, 1999. Those were the years DOE controlled the site that is roughly 90 miles northwest of Las Vegas.

A land swap at the end of 1999 gave control to the Air Force.

Enigmatic personalities behind the initial Dulce underground base rumors

Let's examine some of the enigmatic personalities behind the initial rumors about the alleged Dulce base - how it all started, i.e., 1979 through 1983.

PAUL BENNEWITZ .......owner of Thunder Scientific Corporation (contractor to Kirtland AFB), located right next to the entrance of Kirtland AFB in Albuquerque, NM, presently operated by his sons...............from around 1979 Paul Bennewitz began to witness some strange lights hovering over Manzano underground nuclear storage area, not too far from his residence in the Four Hills area of Albuquerque.

Some researchers (such as Greg Bishop) theorize that he was looking at some tests of Project Starfire (laser-based optical tracking system being developed at that time by Sandia Laboratories next to Manzano) or possibly some tests of prototypes of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) developed by Sandia Laboratories at that time.......Paul Bennewitz later became convinced that those objects were somehow related to an underground base in northern New Mexico near Dulce.....articles on Bennewitz soon began to appear in newspapers such as the Albuquerque Journal and Albuquerque Tribune.

Paul Bennewitz began to suffer from paranoia and was later institutionalized......he passed away in 2003....his remains are buried in Veterans Cemetery in Santa Fe......Paul Bennewitz' sons seem to refuse to be interviewed.....the main reason being that Thunder Scientific Corporation still does business with Kirtland AFB....they sell military grade humidifiers and callibration instruments, many of which were developed,modified and improved by the late Paul Bennewitz.....Paul Bennewitz' wife, Cindy Bennewitz, still lives at the residence, which is located close to the Manzano underground nuclear storage facility (which allegedly was closed down in 1992) in the Four Hills area of Albuquerque.....

MYRNA HANSEN......in 1980 she claimed to have been abducted near Cimarron, NM and claimed to have been taken to an unknown underground location......She was at at that time a resident of Eagle Nest, New Mexico......Paul Bennewitz interviewed her at his house, together with Leo Sprinkle who did a hypnotic regression....Paul Bennewitz later on decided that she must have been taken into the Dulce base.....this was allegedly only after Bennewitz begun to suspect that there was a base in Dulce....later on, a Richard C. Doty (who was with AFOSI Kirtland AFB at that time) suggested to her that she might have been taken to an undergound weapons storage facility.

TOM ADAMS......he was investigating cattle mutilations in the late 1970s....Tom Adams first heard about the Dulce base from reading Paul Bennewitz' article in newspaper and other sources from around 1981....it is alleged that Tom Adams knew "Ann West").

"ANN WEST"......her true identity is not confirmed, although Tal Levesque claims that she is on Facebook with a different name (Cherry Hinkle, who claims that her "half-alien" cat has lived for 29 years).......alleged to have been an acquaintance of Tom Adams...claimed to have drawn the initial pictures of the vats of the Dulce base in 1987, yet claims to have never heard of Paul Bennewitz before........allegedly knew Tal Levesque....also claims to have known "Thomas Edwin Castello".....Tal Levesque claims that she visited him and his wife and also "Thomas Edwin Castello" in Santa Fe......Tal Levesque claims that Ann West is dangerous and is part of the "invisible government"......However, Levesque's claim (that Ann West is part of the "invisible government") could be disinformation.

JOHN LEAR.......heard about Dulce allegedly from "Ann West".... befriended TAL through John Grace (a.k.a. Val Valerian)......according to Tal Levesque, John Lear retouched the Dulce drawings of "Ann West" that he received in 1987......he first came up with his Hypothesis in 1988 about Dulce and also about Area 51....John Lear has never been taken seriously by the UFO community....some people suspect that John Lear purposely throws in some ridiculous-sounding items as part of PSYOPS....he recently claimed that there are cities on the back side of the moon.

TAL LEVESQUE.....a.k.a., TAL or Jason Bishop.......(his real name is Thomas Allen LeVesque....French for "The Bishop", thus his a.k.a.)....he claimed that he worked in Santa Fe as a security person for a private company around 1980 or 1981.....he claimed to have begun contact with "Thomas E. Castello" who, Tal Levesque claims, worked in the same company in Santa Fe......."Thomas E. Castello" allegedly revealed his secrets to Tal....(the secret was that there was an underground U.S./alien bio-lab under Archuleta Mesa, next to Dulce and that he had worked as a security person at that facility).....but before coming out with this "Thomas Edwin Castello" story, Tal Levesque also seems to have heard initially about the Dulce base rumors from reading about Paul Bennewitz....Tal Levesque claimed that he was visited by a tall Reptoid at his home in Santa Fe in 1979......he currently lives in Mariposa, California.

"THOMAS EDWIN CASTELLO".....of course, there are many persons with the same name.....however, a retired Air Force Colonel who claims that he was involved in Dulce, claims that there has never been a Thomas Edwin Castello that was ever employed as security personnel in Dulce.

CHRISTA TILTON.......some researchers seem to say that she came to the scene slightly after "Ann West".....they say that Christa Tilton and Tom Adams were initially partners.....and that she was in touch with Myrna Hansen......according to Tim Beckley, Christa Tilton later on got together with Wendell Stevens.....Christa Tilton was said to have distributed her manuscript, "The Bennewitz Papers" in 1987......She claimed that she was in touch with a Richard C. Doty (formerly with AFOSI at Kirtland AFB in Albuquerque)......Christa Tilton was featured on a Japanese TV program about the Dulce base back in 1989 and 1990.....Christa Tilton flew over Archuleta Mesa and over Soldier Canyon with Junichi Yaoi of Nippon TV in 1989....she appeared on Japanese TV a couple of times....and claimed to have taken a photo of a circular structure over Soldier Canyon, which is slightly SW of Dulce....Tilton, in her manuscript "The Bennewitz Papers" expressed her belief that the whole "Thomas E. Castello" story was a fabrication......"Ann West", in turn, reportedly claimed that Christa Tilton's information was not credible.

BRANTON.......a.k.a., Bruce Walton......beginning in the early 1990s, he compiled a book called the DULCE BOOK....and aslo DULCE WARS.....Walton allegedly got most of the information from TAL...some from John Lear, some from Val Valerian (John Grace)....Tal Levesque claimed that Bruce Walton was incarcerated in 2009 in Utah for felony charges.

GABE VALDEZ.......retired New Mexico State Patrol Officer who was in charge of the Dulce area for many years (from the early 1970s to the late 1980s)......he passed away on August 6, 2011 at his residence in Albuquerque....Valdez claimed that the government was most likely responsible for the cattle mutilations which started happening from around 1975.......he claimed that the government may have begun to periodically monitor the radiation levels of certain cattle some years later, after the 1967 underground nuclear explosion (Project Gasbuggy) which took place about 22 miles southwest of Dulce.....Valdez also stated that the government "staged" several UFO incidents in the Dulce area (Archuleta Mesa, etc.) by use of high tech equipment such as prototypes of holographic image projections as well as unmanned aerial vehicles or remotely-controlled platforms that were made to resemble "flying saucers"....Valdez believed that bio-warfare experiments were conducted at Dulce and that "UFO/alien" stories were concocted by the government as cover stories to conceal various Black Projects in the area.

WILLIAM "BILL" MOORE.....who first propagated (or "revived") the story about Roswell in 1980 when he (together with Charles Berlitz) published the book INCIDENT AT ROSWELL (until this book came out, most Americans had no interest or knowledge about the Roswell incident since it was long forgotten and dismissed as misidentification by the U.S. Army in 1947)......he claims that around the same time that he began to propagate the Roswell story, he was working with Richard Doty of Kirtland AFB and participated in a disinformation ploy to saturate Paul Bennewitz (who was pursuing his independent investigations on Dulce) with false information on the Dulce base.....so he claimed in a 1989 MUFON Conference that took place in Las Vegas, NV....however there is no verifiable documentation whatsoever that Moore participated in such disinformation ploy in any official capacity.....except for his verbal "confession" that he made at a 1989 MUFON conference in Las Vegas, Nevada).

RICHARD C. DOTY.....initially with Kirtland AFB AFOSI around 1979, 1980 and 1981......he was not a high-ranking officer.....he claims he participated in disinformation, along with Moore.....again, there is no documentation that he participated in such disinformation ploy at Kirtland AFB AFOSI in any official capacity.....even though Paul Bennewitz' name and Doty's name appear on one or two Kirtland OSI documents because Kirtland AFB invited Bennewitz to testify to what he allegedly was seeing over Manzano storage areas.....later on Richard C. Doty became a promoter of the SERPO PROJECT (which some researchers seem to describe as being a total fabrication)...Project Camelot seems to have bought Doty's story hook, line and sinker......presently he is working as New Mexico Highway Patrol Officer....about to retire in a couple of months.

The most sane person, surprisingly, may have been Paul Bennewitz himself and Gabe Valdez.
It is quite possible that Paul Bennewitz had long only pretended that he had been "brainwashed" by some within the AFOSI, while he continued to conduct his own investigations into Dulce. But, nevertheless, he couldn't himself overcome his growing paranoia. Another possible scenario may have been that there was a dissension among the AFOSI and an element among the group may have provided Bennewitz with some crucial information on Dulce.

Phil Schneider was never a part of the initial Dulce base rumors.
He only came to the scene in 1995.
It was only in 1989 that Bob Lazar first came out with the story that there was an altercation between the U.S. military and "alien entities" in an underground installation. Lazar never specified any location.

Popular Internet radio broadcaster Jerry Pippin http://www.jerrypippin.com/ based in Muskogee, Oklahoma, stunned his worldwide audience on Saturday, September 25, 2010 when he featured researcher Anthony Sanchez who, for the first time ever, revealed to the public the official government/military name for the much-rumored, alleged underground installation in Dulce, New Mexico.

Sanchez disclosed the complete name of the installation as: "Rio Arriba Scientific & Technological Underground Auxiliary".

He stated that this information came to him directly from a retired Air Force Colonel in January of 2010 when the Colonel invited him for an private interview in his cabin in California.
The interview lasted about three hours and was recorded on tape.

The official, abbreviated form of the Dulce installation is RIO ARRIBA CO, DSD-3 or RIO-AUX, Sanchez told the audience.
This military designation is not found anywhere on the Internet.Sanchez said that he was told that this designation is "classified" when he made an inquiry with the Military Records in St. Louis.

Another information that stunned Pippin's audience was the revelation that there are three separate installations in Dulce.
The main underground installation is named TA-D1 and is located, surprisingly (and confirming the long-existing rumor), under Archuleta Mesa!!

The second underground installation (a two-level installation) is named TA-D2 and is located on a non-descript area between the Eastern slope of Archuleta Mesa and County Road 357, close to the Colorado stateline. The exact location of this Security installation will not be disclosed.

The third installation is called TA-D3 and is located in the Leandro Canyon (close to the Project Gasbuggy site of 1967), about 22 miles southwest of Dulce.
This installation is the farthest from the main complex, but is connected to the main facility by an underground tunnel system, stated Sanchez.
"In fact, all three facilities are interconnected by subterranean tunnels. The most astounding information that was disclosed to me was that the main facility under the Mesa is also connected to Los Alamos National Laboratories in Los Alamos, New Mexico".
(A distance of about 65 miles).

In this stunning broadcast, Anthony Sanchez confirmed the Colonel's statement that there is no record whatsoever of a Thomas Edwin Castello that was ever employed as security personnel in Dulce.

One interesting thing that the Colonel mentioned to Sanchez was that the Colonel and his wife were present incognito at the 2009 Dulce Base Conference which was held in Dulce, New Mexico. The conferece was held on Sunday, March 29, 2009 and drew about 130 people.

The Colonel confirmed to Sanchez that he and his wife were near a parking lot close to the Best Western Jicarilla Inn at 5:50 a.m. on the morning of the conference, sitting and drinking coffee when two military helicopters flew over the building.
One stayed around longer, hovering over the building.
The other circled the area, then scanned some vehicles, including theirs, before leaving.The Colonel confirmed that the helicopters were from DSD-3.

The Colonel also confirmed to Sanchez that there were two AFOSI investigators sitting there in the audience who he personally recognized.
In addition to them, there were several recogniable LANL scientists, he told Sanchez.
The Colonel stated that were it not for the late Paul Bennewitz and Myrna Hansen, the Dulce story would never have surfaced.

TA, as everyone knows, is Technical Area, as used in Los Alamos.

In this stunning broadcast, Anthony Sanchez confirmed the Colonel's statement that there is no record whatsoever of a Thomas Edwin Castello that was ever employed as security personnel in Dulce.

Another statement made by the Colonel, Anthony Sanchez said, was that there have never been any "Reptilians" in Dulce.

One interesting thing that the Colonel mentioned to Sanchez was that the Colonel and his wife were present incognito at the 2009 Dulce Base Conference which was held in Dulce, New Mexico.
The conferece was held on Sunday, March 29, 2009 and drew about 130 people.

The Colonel confirmed to Sanchez that he and his wife were near a parking lot close to the Best Western Jicarilla Inn at 5:50 a.m. on the morning of the conference, sitting and drinking coffee when two military helicopters flew over the building. One stayed around longer, hovering over the building.
The other circled the area, then scanned some vehicles, including theirs, before leaving.
The Colonel confirmed that the helicopters were from DSD-3.
The Colonel also confirmed to Sanchez that there were two AFOSI investigators sitting there in the audience who he personally recognized.
In addition to them, there were several recogniable LANL scientists, he told Sanchez.

(The conference was held at Best Western Jicarilla Inn and was later forced to move to a community hall in a mini-mall located at a walking distance from the Hotel, because of a warning issued from the Dulce Fire Department for exceeding the maximum number of attendees allowed at a conference in the Hotel.)

What shocked the audience in this Jerry Pippin Show was the revelation that, yes, there was indeed an altercation in 1979 between the military and other "inhabitants" of the installation in Dulce.
This was the primary reason why the Colonel, a specialist in Military Psychological Post-Trauma Counseling, was sent to Dulce in 1979 as a member of a special team that dealt with post-traumatic syndrome experienced by military personnel.

The Colonel stated that were it not for the late Paul Bennewitz and Myrna Hansen, the Dulce story would never have surfaced.

The death of a journalist in West Virginia, plus the jailing of an alleged CIA computer consultant in Washington State may be elements of a much wider scandal that could have serious implications.
What started out as an investigation of an apparent case of pirated software has grown to be a project involving hundreds of journalists all over the world.

The dead journalist, Joseph Daniel 'Danny' Casolaro was found dead August 10th in a motel room in West Virginia. His wrists were slashed seven times on each wrist and a suicide note was found nearby. The only manuscript of his book, with accompanying notes, was missing.
The book, provisionally titled 'The Octopus', was meant to be an explosive expose of misdeeds by the Justice Department under the Reagan administration. Time Magazine also reported that Casolaro's research centered on gambling and attempted arms deals at the Cabazon reservation near Indio,California.

Indeed, the scope of Casolaro's investigation was so large that any one of a large number of areas of research could have been the trigger for a possible hit.
While authorities declared his death a suicide, his relatives definitely stated that Casolaro's mental state was sound, indeed upbeat, after the completion of his book.

Casolaro started his work nearly two years before, investigating the bankrupting of a small computer software company called Inslaw, allegedly by the U.S. Justice Department.
INSLAW, a company headed by Bill and Nancy Hamilton of Washington D.C., had developed a package known as PROMIS - short for Prosecutor's Management Information System - to act as a case management tool for the Justice Department's unwieldy work load.
Inslaw President Bill Hamilton has claimed that Ed Meese associate Earl Brian was given control of pirated versions of the PROMIS software by Meese to sell back to different U.S. government agencies for great profit.

Two courts have so far agreed with Hamilton, awarding an 8 million dollar judgment, but a higher court of appeal has quashed the award and the verdict, declaring that it was not the jurisdiction of the lower courts. As of October 9, the case has moved into the realm of the Supreme Court.
Earl Brian owns United Press International (UPI) and Financial News Network (FNN).

According to a Washington man, who claims to have modified the cobol-based software for the CIA and other intelligence agencies, the software was a reward for Earl Brian's role in arranging the so-called 'October Surprise' gambit, the alleged conspiracy to withhold the American hostages in Iran until after the 1980 election which saw Carter removed from power. The 'October Surprise' scandal has taken some time to emerge.

In a Paris meeting, President Bush is alleged to have met with Ali Akabar Hashemi Rafsanjani, the speaker of the Iranian Parliament, Mohammed Ali Rajai, the future President of Iran and Manucher Ghorbanifar, an Iranian arms dealer with connections to Mossad, according to Navy Captain Gunther Russbacher who claims to have flown Bush, William Casey -- the CIA chief -- and Donald Gregg, a CIA operative to that location. Russbacher, who made these allegations in May is now in jail on Terminal Island, convicted on the charge of impersonating a U.S. Attorney.

The Washington man is Michael Riconosciuto who is now waiting for a trial in a Washington jail on conspiracy to sell drugs charges, charges which Riconosciuto claims are manufactured. Indeed, the charge made against Riconosciuto were made one week after Riconosciuto authored and signed an affidavit describing his role in modifying the pirated software.
The affidavit also claimed that he (Michael Riconosciuto), had been contacted by phone and threatened by Peter Videnieks - a Justice Department employee and Customs official who Riconosciuto alleged had intelligence ties - as to the possible consequences of his going public with certain information.

According to Riconosciuto, Videnieks was a frequent visitor to the Cabazon Indian reservation near Palm Springs and visited with tribal manager, John P. Nichols.
Nichols was in essence Riconosciuto's boss in a number of enterprises conducted on reservation land and the PROMIS modification was just one of these projects.
According to Riconosciuto, in an interview with T.C. conducted from jail, the PROMIS software was modified to install a backdoor access for use by American intelligence services. The software was then sold to 88 different countries as a sort of 'Trojan horse' package enabling us to access their intelligence systems. According to Riconosciuto these countries included Iraq and Libya.

Correspondence between Nichols and other companies, if authentic, indicates that Riconosciuto's claims of his expertise in the area of electronics and armaments appear to be true.
Marshall Riconoscuito, Michael's father, is a reputed former business partner of Richard Nixon.
According to Riconosciuto, the fuzzy status of reservation land as 'sovereign' allowed elements of the CIA and organized crime to conduct business uniquely.
Among the projects worked on during this time were joint projects with WACKENHUT, a company loaded with former CIA and NSA personnel and business ventures with the Saudi Arabian royal family and other unusual projects.

A joint venture with Southern California Edison will soon be generating power for bio-mass drawn from local waste outlets. Biological warfare projects were investigated with Stormont laboratories looking into the creation of 'pathogenic viruses' and enhanced fuel-air explosive weapons were created and tested in league with Meridian Arms at the NEVADA TESTING RANGE which matched the explosive power of nuclear devices.
These enhanced weapons gained their power from polarizing the molecules in the gas cloud by modification of the electric field, a technology developed from exploring Thomas Townsend Brown's suppressed work, a knowledge which Riconosciuto claims he gained from working at LEAR in Reno, Nevada.

Riconosciuto is said to have worked on the enhanced fuel-air explosive weapons with Gerald Bull of Space Research Corporation. Bull, now deceased, later became an arms advisor to Saddam Hussein. It is said that HUSSEIN POSSESSES THE FAE TECHNOLOGY.

In July, Anson Ng, a reporter for the Financial Times of London was shot and killed in Guatemala. He had reportedly been trying to interview an American there named Jimmy Hughes, a one-time director of security for the Cabazon Indian Reservation secret projects.

In April, a Philadelphia attorney named Dennis Eisman was found dead, killed by a single bullet in his chest. According to a former federal official who worked with Eisman, the attorney was found dead in the parking lot where he had been due to meet with a woman who had crucial evidence to share substantiating Riconosciuto's claims.
Both Eisman's and Ng's deaths were declared suicides by authorities.

Fred Alvarez, a Cabazon tribal leader who was in vocal opposition to the developments on the reservation, was found shot to death with two friends in 1981. Their murder remains unsolved.
The leader of the House, Thomas Foley, announced last month that a formal inquiry will be initiated into the Inslaw case. Foley appointed Senator Terry Sanford as co-chairman of the joint congressional panel. Prior to his election, Senator Sanford was the attorney representing Earl Brian in his 1985 takeover bid for United Press International and was instrumental in appointing Earl Brian, a medical doctor, to the board of Duke Medical School, of which Sanford is President.

However, despite repeated requests from journalists to produce photographs showing Riconosciuto together with Brian, and requests to produce his passport showing his alleged trip to Iran, he has not yet done so. Also Riconosciuto failed to be able to describe Peter Videnieks to CNN's Moneyline program, claiming a medical condition prevented him from remembering clearly.
This led one former intelligence operative to speculate that we may be witnessing a very sophisticated intelligence operation being played out in public.

Former F.B.I. Special Agent, Ted Gunderson, speaks for Riconosciuto's credibility. Gunderson, who lives in Manhattan Beach, has worked with Riconosciuto for many years in his capacity as private investigator.
Together, according to Gunderson, they were responsible for thwarting a terrorist operation during the Los Angeles Olympics. According to Gunderson, Riconosciuto was well known in certain circles as a genius in almost all sciences.

The so-called drug operation broken up in Washington State was an electrohydrodynamic mining operation claimed Gunderson, using Townsend Brown technology. A videotape viewed by this journalist revealed metallic powders and apparent processes unrelated to drug manufacture. Indeed, a government analysis of soil samples revealed the absence of drug contamination, but a high concentration of barium. Barium is often found in high voltage related work.
Unsubstantiated information from an intelligence source claims that the current situation is THE VISIBLE EFFECT OF A WAR CURRENTLY GOING ON IN THE INTELLIGENCE COMMUNITY between a group centered in the CIA called AQUARIUS (around a powerful center known as MJ-12) and a group known as COM-12 centered around Naval Intelligence. COM-12 is reputedly trying to sustain a rearguard action to sustain and preserve constitutional government and is deliberately LEAKING INFORMATION damaging to the former group."

In the same publication, same issue, there appeared a follow-up article just following the one given above. Written by Thomas Zed, the article, titled "WACKENHUT'S CONNECTION WITH THE BLACK PROJECT WORLD" stated:

"The Wackenhut company has a very close connection to the world of BLACK BUDGET PROJECTS. Besides being connected with the Cabazon venture mentioned in this issue it is also responsible, according to jailed computer consultant Michael Riconosciuto, for the secret projects being undertaken in Dulce, New Mexico where the Jicarilla Indian Reservation is being similarly used.

After sending two of my colleagues there recently AND RECEIVING CONFIRMATION THAT THERE WAS A TOP SECRET MILITARY TYPE INSTALLATION, I decided to call the newspaper office and make an educated bluff.
I identified myself as a freelance reporter from Los Angeles -- and told the newspaper that I was doing a story on the Cabazon reservation biological warfare projects that had been undertaken there on behalf of the CIA. I told her that I had heard that there were similar things being done in Dulce and would like to know what was going on.

The official I spoke to became frightened and said, 'I can't talk to you about that! It would be very unprofessional of me to talk to you about that. You'll have to speak to the President of the tribe.' She then hung up.

I have yet to call back and ask the President of the tribe, but will report on that in the next issue.
Wackenhut is also responsible for security of a lot of underground facilities in California and Nevada, including the notorious S-4 or AREA 51 in Nevada where Townsend Brown flying disk technology (written about in a T.C. recent issue) has been flying and developing for decades.

A recent helicopter crash at the area, where two pilots and three security guards from Wackenhut flying in a Messerschmit BO-105 helicopter were killed was not at all accidental claimed Riconosciuto, who said that the individuals aboard the helicopter were traveling with sensitive documents.

As you can see, there had been an undeniable presence of Wackenhut Corporation, or Wackenhut Security Systems at the Nevada Test Site in the 1990s, and their working relationship with the Department of Energy's Special Response Teams.

I had personally met Robert Booth Nichols ("formerly" with WACKENHUT and who initially seemed to have been accused of holding pertinent information on the death of Danny Casolaro) in June of 1992 when we organized a public seminar that attempted to expose WACKENHUT and its secret dealings with the "BLACK PROJECTS" programs, some of which is indirectly related to the military weapons testing at certain locations within the Nellis Air Force Range. The seminar, attended by about 250 people was held in Arcadia (June of 1992).
The seminar was sponsored by the Civilian Intelligence Network (I was director then) and my colleague Gary Schulz and also co-sponsored by a Michael Younger who claimed to have been a liaison person of a group then known as COM 12.
Ted Gunderson, former FBI Agent-in-charge of Los Angeles was one of our guests at the conference. He confirmed to us that George Pender, formerly with NSA was also in attendance.
By the way, at another conference held in Anaheim a few months later, I had an opportunity to meet with the wife of Michael Riconosciuto who "happened" to attend my presentations on AREA 51.

Here is some more on Robert Booth Nichols as it appeared on an article on American Free Press years ago:

The man who attempted to sell the Army biological warfare technology through Wackenhut Corporation, Robert Booth Nichols, originally facilitated the project at the California-based research corporation under the auspices of Meridian Arms, a subsidiary of Meridian International Logistics, Inc. (MIL).

The Cabazon-Wackenhut Joint Venture had spawned a partnership between Nichols and Michael Riconosciuto, who sits in prison after being convicted on drug-related charges that he contends are trumped-up for the purpose of silencing his "inside" knowledge about a variety of high-level shenanigans. (for example, some weapons-related programs at parts of Nevada Test Site).
Both Nichols and Riconosciuto were interested in developing new, high-tech submachine guns, biological weapons and powerful explosive devices that, like a nuclear blast, could produce an electromagnetic pulse capable of wiping out an enemy's communications and electronics systems.
Corporate minutes of MIL, dated August 26, 1988, along with signed agreements, revealed that biological technology labeled "The Method for Induction and Activation of Cytotoxic T-Lympocytes" were handed over to the Japanese for further research.The corporate minutes noted that a grant, or "donation" was provided by MIL to a Japanese medical school for exlusive training of physicians "under contract to and under the direction of Meridian International Logistics, Inc".

The board of directors at MIL included Robert Booth Nichols, a licensed arms importer/exporter; Glenn Shockley, a CIA asset; Peter Zokosky, former owner of Armtech, at that time the sole supplier of 120 mm combustible cartridge cases to the U.S. government; and Harold Okimoto. Intelligence sources believed Okimoto to be a high-ranking member of Japan's Yakuza crime syndicate.

(Interestingly enough, Mr. Okimoto was also present, or "happened" to be attending the seminar at Arcadia when we attempted to expose WACKENHUT's involvement in the Black Projects Programs....in fact I remember exchanging a few words with him when I was introduced to him by some of the attendees at the conference.)

Nichols also held permits to sell machine guns overseas. In obtaining the required California permits to possess and sell machine guns, Nichols received a recommendation from a CIA official named Larry Curan.Nichols says he was contracted to ship 42 Cobra helicopters to overseas warehouses.

The biological technology, which he attempted to sell through Wackenhut, had been incubated in cow uteruses 20 floors beneath the ground in California bio-labs and shipped to five Japanese institutes for further research and development.Nichols says the identity of the governments sponsoring the research was classified. One thing researchers want to know is why an international arms dealer would fund Japanese scientists in 1988 to research "a method for induction and activation of Cytotoxic T-Lymphocytes?"

Some wonder if there is a link between Nichols dealing in germ warfare and the Japanese research.The answer may lie in microbiological research conducted by Garth L.Nicolson, Ph.D., Department of Tumor Biology at the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center.Nicolson says tens of thousands of Desert Storm veterans suspected of having Gulf War Syndrome were refused medical treatment to hide the possible origin and use of biological weapons during the Gulf War.

Veterans' family members were also denied treatment, according to the doctor. "55% OF GWS (Gulf War Syndrome) vets are suffering from a few types of mycoplasmas, such as "Mycoplasma fermentans", Nicolson wrote. "This one strain alone accounts for 35% of the total. This disease is particularly vicious against the very young, and I have a list of approximately 600 babies less than 2 years old that have died from the illness".

Nicolson said it was ironic that his work on the HIV-1 virus and AIDS also pointed to the same agenda -biological warfare." The mycoplasma we found in GWS, we strongly believe, was 'engineered' and did not evolve naturally", he noted."6000 soldiers have died since the Gulf War...the number of U.S. dead is being hidden from the American public."Staff members high up in the VA Central Command in Washington D.C. secretly sent me about a two-foot high stack of records documenting the deaths", Nicolson added.The doctor also treated a dying military intelligence officer who confirmed the origin and sale of illegal biological weapons to Iraq. He said those weapons were subsequently used against U.S. soldiers in Desert Storm.Nicolson urged researchers to investigate Tanox Biosystems, Inc. in Houston, Texas.

"If someone can nail a few of these operations, then perhaps the U.S. government will give up on illegal, immoral biological weapons programs", he said. Apparently Nichols inadvertently "nailed" one operation. A secret desire to write about his exploits with the CIA had led him to contact Jack Valenti, president of the Motion Picture Association of America, through his corporate partner Gene Giaquinto. The three met at the Beverly Hills Hotel where Nichols attempted to sell Valenti a manuscript disclosing top secret CIA technology.

Nichols later said Valenti refused the manuscript because it contained"classified national security information". Valenti once served asassistant to President Lyndon B. Johnson.Unknown to the CIA, Nichols had copyrighted the material at the Library of Congress under the pseudonym Robert B. LeDevoiller. The 20-page manuscript, entitled ACCEPTABLE CASUALTY.

Nevada Test Site gets new name (N2S2).....its impact on Area 51!!

Here is an interesting recent development concerning the entire Nevada Test Site:

As everybody knows, the government's so-called operating base at Groom Lake (a.k.a., Area 51) is located right next to the Test Site.
Although Area 51 officially has had no direct relationship to the Test Site for all these years even though it is located right next to it, it is my opinion that things will change in the very near future.

With this new policy and development, my belief is that some of the programs and operations of Area 51 may be extended further west into the Test Site (now officially called Nevada National Security Site......N2S2).

It is apparent that R & D (research and development) and testing of emerging new technologies (in the name of "anti-terrorism" weaponry) will be conducted in the newly designated Nevada National Security Site.

If this is the case, Area 51 will expand and definitely benefit from the possible use of much larger space to integrate their own programs in conjunction with the Nevada National Security Site.

Let us hope that if this will be the course, that such R & D and testing programs will be conducted without any serious environmental infractions.

1958 Brazilian Navy UFO photo a hoax?

Here is one of the most disappointing news items I have come across in my 45 years of UFO research.

One of the most here-to-fore revered UFO photos of all time (a 1958 UFO photo allegedly taken by the Brazilian Navy) has now been admitted to have been a hoax, by the photographer himself on Brazilian TV. I had high hopes on this photo for many, many years.

Q. Your book supports my long-held theory that people reporting UFOs are usually seeing military aircraft being tested.

A. Absolutely, [except] in the very small number of cases that are misperceptions of stars and conventional aircraft and that sort of thing.

Q. But the thrust of your book is that the US government, rather than covering up UFO crashes, has actually been promoting UFO conspiracies — for 60 years. Why?

A. The reasons changed at different times. The number-one [reason] is covering up flights of experimental or otherwise secret aircraft, and this goes back at least as far as the U-2 [spy plane]. It’s now quite well known that Project Blue Book, the first public face of UFO investigations — they were actually tracing the visibility of the U-2 as it flew over America. This was so they’d know how visible it would be as it flew over the Soviet Union.

Q. But then there’s all this evidence in your book that the federal government actually staged a UFO invasion in Washington, D.C., in 1952. Why would they do that?

A. I don’t know. I can speculate. It could have just been a demonstration to show people what this [supposedly alien] technology was capable of. I can’t say exactly why they might have done it. But it was a really critical point of ratcheting up tensions in the Cold War. It could have been a test to see how pilots and radar operators would respond to an invasion.

Q. You yourself saw two very different UFOs in flight.

A. I open and close the book with my own sightings. The second one is easy. There was no question that was some sort of military aircraft. The first one is a genuine puzzle. I still don’t know what it was.

Q. What was the craziest thing that happened during the reporting of this book?

A. Spending a week at the Laughlin [Nev.] UFO Conference was really interesting. It was very intense. You start losing your moorings after several days embedded among belief in UFOs and extraterrestrial visitors.

Q. In a way, the book chronicles your own journey. You start out as a skeptic who can’t believe that there are people out there who believe aliens have visited Earth. Then you gather all this evidence that supports that opinion. Yet by the end I sense that you aren’t so sure anymore.

A. When I was in my late teens and early 20s, I was probably closer to being a believer. I was a skeptic, but I was more inclined that there was something going on. I would say now I maintain a true skeptical line and try to walk it as carefully as possible. Nobody can say that we’ve never been visited by extraterrestrials. You can’t prove a negative.

Q. OK, so, do you believe aliens have visited Earth?

A. “I don’t know’’ is the honest answer. What I will say is that there are still some very, very strange stories out there.

My wife's unique experience inside NORAD underground facility in 1978!!

I have not told this to too many people yet, but my wife (before I met her in 1986 and married her) had a unique experience of being inside the NORAD underground command center in late 1978.

NORAD (North American Aerospace Defense Command) was located under Cheyenne Mountain and was built around 1966.
Although it was operated by the U.S. Air Force, the complex itself was largely built by the U.S. Navy.
NORAD was a joint U.S./Canadian operation.

My wife's brother was in the U.S. military back then and was stationed near Colorado Springs.
(Today one of his sons is proudly serving in the U.S. Army. This will be his seventh year in the Army. He had been stationed in Iraq three separate tours already).

Through my brother-in-law's special connections to a special officer (whose wife was Japanese), my wife and her mother had a unique opportunity to be guided by the military escorts to have a "tour" of inside the facility.

What was so amazing at that time was that both my wife and her mother were simply visiting from Japan. (My wife became a U.S. citizen only in 2000. I became a U.S. citizen in 1976).
My mother-in-law couldn't even speak a word of English and she hadn't the slightest idea what was going on, except that a military officer had offered her and her daughter a special "tour" of an "interesting" place.
Her brother missed the "tour" that day somehow. He had other things that came up that day at the base.
He himself had never been inside NORAD and to this day, he regrets very much that he missed that "tour".

There were only about 8 persons (all of them families of the military) and that was the only military escorted "tour" of that day.
In those days, there were only one or two military escorted private "tours" per month.
They were strictly for the military personnel and their families.

Anyway, she said that they rode on what she described to me as a small open train (just like you see in some mining complexes). The train was short. She recalls that there were only two or three, each of which could accommodate only about 8 or 10 persons the most.
They went through a tunnel which was not too large.
The tunnel was somewhat narrow.

Then they passed through huge, thick doors (much thicker than today's bank vault doors).
And then they passed through another huge set of doors.
She described the doors to me as being gigantic in size.

Then they were guided inside.
There was an elevator inside. She thinks there were a couple of more elevators in the complex.
She told me that they told them that there were several "buildings" with several "floors" in the complex.
The rooms, huge ones and small ones were all supported by thick springs underneath, the military escorts told them.
Also, she described the location inside as quite cavernous, with huge rocks as walls.

Mind you, this was back in 1978 during the Cold War years.
They were shown several places, such as the cafeteria, the barber shop, etc.
She described the environment as being almost like a miniature community.
The military guides then showed them the main computer room.
(I guess it was the command center).
The officer explained to them about the menacing threat of Russia and why it was important to construct such a huge underground complex and command center.
Anyway, I just wanted to share this with you.

My wife at that time had been one of the last persons to be even interested in things like "underground facilities".
HOW I WISH I HAD BEEN THERE INSTEAD!! LOL!!

My wife and her mother hadn't the slightest idea at that time how unique that experience was!
It was only after many years that my wife realized that she had an experience not too many people have ever had!
She told me that years later, after seeing some James Bond movies as well as some science fiction movies depicting underground facilities that she realized that she had actually been in one, in the real world!

Today, in retrospect, my wife tells me that as amazing as it was to her at that time (seeing what she saw), it is quite possible and most likely, she says, that she and her mother were shown only a small section of the entire complex!

Today, the old NORAD undergound facility exists but the main complex and its operations have now moved to Peterson Air Force Base in Colorado Springs, not too far from there.

From what I hear today, there are only a few military personnel that actually work there in the old section.
I guess times have changed.

In the olden days they used to believe that huge, deep, hardened underground complex was the thing, but in today's world, many things have become obsolete.

The most modern and effective facilities now do not have to be humongous.
Things have been scaled down in recent times and yet have become more sophisticated and more effective.

A special two-hour public presentation on Tuesday, Sept. 14 in Rio Rancho, New Mexico:

How "beliefs in UFOs" have been manipulated (and in some cases, even created) by the U.S. intelligence community; and the impact of such beliefs on American society in the near future

I am a long-time UFO researcher who have, for many years, investigated Area 51 in Nevada as well as some widespread claims about the existence of Dulce underground base in New Mexico, and have spoken in many conferences nationwide, especially in the early 1990's.
(My conclusions may surprise you).

I will speak on why a segment of the population keeps holding on to their "beliefs in UFOs" (as physical alien spacecraft piloted or maneuvered by physical alien entities), despite the apparent lack of physical, irrefutable "scientific evidence".
There is a reason for this.

I will also speak on how such "beliefs" could affect their social behavioral patterns.

I will also touch upon why "beliefs in UFOs" may never rise above their "pseudo science" status and limited existence within the American pop sub-culture.

I will also explain why some people seem to believe that New Mexico may play a role in a supposedly upcoming shift in human consciousness.

Once in a while comes a book that changes our pre-conceived notions of a subject matter.
The soon-to-be-published book, UFO HIGHWAY (http://www.ufohighway.com/)
by Anthony Sanchez, could just be such a book.

Anthony Sanchez has spent over 20 years accumulating a wealth of pertinent information on the subject of the rumors behind UFOs in conjunction with some of the most significant military installations in the U.S., especially in the American Southwest.

His new book, UFO HIGHWAY, is a fresh new look at the military's "connection" to the rumors about UFOs.
This is not a book about whether UFOs exist or not.
It is neither a book about "reptoids" eating humans in a secret underground facility, nor is it about the claims made by Thomas Castello who may not even have existed at all.
It surpasses those unsubstantiated claims.

This book is filled with information previously not published in any other books of this nature.
His fascinating, recent interview with a retired USAF colonel is probably one of the highlights of this book.
This interesting interview took place, in May of 2010, only a few months before the completion of this book.

Just like the author, Anthony Sanchez, I myself also have done an extensive research on similar topics for over twenty years, spending many years investigating locations such as Area 51 in Nevada and its connections with other important sites such as southern California's Edwards AFB and remote aerospace facilities in the Antelope Valley, most of which had the outward facade of radar cross section testing sites.
I had also visited the surrroundings near China Lake Naval Weapons Testing Center in the California desert.
Yes, there is no doubt in my mind, just as Anthony Sanchez suggests, that there are "connections" (I am not talking about it in a physical sense) among these facilites, including the Dugway Proving Grounds in Utah.

I also had a tremendous interest in Colorado's Cheyenne Mountain and its NORAD underground complex (not only because my wife had a unique oppportunity to go through a special, military-guided "tour" inside the complex in late 1978 through her brother's military connections - and, interestingly, a year before some strange things started happening in neighborning northern New Mexico.)

I also had taken a special interest in New Mexico's White Sands Missile Testing Ranges (where today, the leading-edge directed energy weapons systems are being tested), as well as Los Alamos National Laboratories (site of the world's foremost human genome research), Sandia Laboratories and Phillips Laboratories, the latter two of which are inside Kirtland Air Force Base in Albuquerque, as well as the Manzano underground nuclear storage complex, also within the base.

Just as Anthony Sanchez seems to suggest in his book, there is no doubt in my mind that the regions especially east of the Four Corners area of New Mexico contain some of the most important U.S. government secrets, hidden from the public.

Yes, and above all, my greatest curiosity has been the long-persisting rumors about the alleged Dulce underground base in New Mexico.
I am convinced that although we have not come up yet with any solid, physical, tangible, irrefutable evidence that there is such a facility in Dulce, there are plenty of circumstantial evidences that point to the possibility that there is "something" there.

I have a trusted friend who was a former proprietor of one of the largest ranches in Dulce who declared to me this year that indeed there is a facility there. Beyond that, he could not make a comment.
At the present time he has a sensitive position as the department head of the Department of Agriculture in a well-known state university in New Mexico.
After retirement from his present position, he, too, will soon come out and will help us expose the truth about Dulce.

As for Area 51 in Nevada, sure, it is public knowledge now that Area 51 is a vibrant military research, development and testing complex conducted by many defense contractors who provide a variety of highly compartmentalized projects.

But there is no proof that there could not be something "more" besides all the superficial facade of the complex.

Yes, practically the whole world has already heard of the claims of Bob Lazar concerning Area 51.
For now, there seems to be nothing that can back up his claims.
However, at the same time, there is no way to disprove his claims either.

Anthony Sanchez' new book, UFO HIGHWAY, appparently derives its title from the actual Highway 375 in Nevada which was officially declared by the State of Nevada as EXTRATERRESTRIAL HIGHWAY in the late 1990's because of its proximity to Area 51.

However, Anthony's UFO HIGHWAY goes beyond that.

All these significant military bases are interconnected through a symbolic "highway".
There is plenty of commonality among these interesting facilities.
And they all relate to the rumors concerning UFOs and how "beliefs" play a major role in the military's maintenance of secrecy.

Yes, we all know that there doesn't seem to be any hard, solid, tangible, physical evidence to say that there is more than just the superficial structures behind all these facilities.
Yet there are circumstantial evidences that seem to point out that there is "something" under the physical facade of these facilities.

Anthony F. Sanchez received his BSc. in Computer Information Systems from Western Governors University of Salt Lake City, UT in 2008.
In addition to being a Software Consultant for the State of California through his own company, Matrix Innovative Systems, Inc., Anthony has been employed for 15 years as a Software Engineer working for 3Com, Intel, Acer, Netscape Communications, and Hewlett Packard performing high-level software development supporting scientific engineering and business intelligence projects.

Positive aspects of beliefs in "UFOs" and some downsides to such beliefs

It seems to me that many who believe in "UFOs" (that they are alien spacecraft piloted or maneuvered by aliens who are visiting us) tend to be, on the whole, spiritually-oriented.
(I know I am generalizing it and I could be wrong on this).

Their main focus in life doesn't seem to be concentrated in such things as acquisition of material wealth or power.
Their main focus seems to be in "living right" and in "searching for truth" to the best of their knowledge or ability.
To me this is good.
And they have something to look forward to in life.

Probably the biggest hope for those "die-hard" believers seems to be that one day (and most believers seem to hope for the imminent appearance of aliens in "UFOs") the aliens will openly land and will help us solve all the problems of this depressing and deteriorating world we are living in.
Of course there are some people who say that this kind of belief is almost equivalent to substituting "God" with "aliens").

Many of my friends (who are not into "UFOs") always tell me how envious they are about me because "you are interested in studying about "UFOs"...........you are lucky because you have such a wonderful dream in life".

I am not sure when they say things like this whether they are complimenting me or feeling sorry for me (as if I had lost my marbles and am living in a dream world). LOL!!

Moreover, this is the reality, that most people, such as one's friends, neighbors, co-workers, etc., do not talk about "UFOs" day in and night, much less talk about it AT ALL in daily life.

Those who claim to be in the "mainstream" (and claim to be in the "real world", which seems to be the bulk of the population) usually think you're a little weird for believing in "aliens" or taking an interest in the subject of "UFOs". (Even though they don't say so directly to you).

As soon as I mention "UFOs", they immediately assume that I am a believer in "aliens".
(They don't seem to be able to differentiate between studying about the UFO phenomenon and believing in "aliens").

Of course I must admit that there are also some downsides to believing in "UFOs".
There is always a danger of fanaticism that could lead "believers" towards isolationism or somewhat limited association with "normal" people.

(Although we do not even know for sure who is a "normal" person who leads a "normal" life).

Also, there is always a danger of paranoia.

For example, many conspiracy believers who start out by believing in one conspiracy theory, have a tendency to soon start ascribing every single thing that happens in this world to "conspiracies".

They begin to believe fanatically that everything is a "cover-up"!!

But I am so glad that I got myself involved in studying about the UFO phenomenon since I was a high school kid back in the early 1960's.
I have been researching this fascinating phenomenon for more than 45 years already!

Even though (despite my long years of research) I have no conclusive answers that I can offer to people about this strange phenomenon, I do not regret it at all because I can definitely say that this continues to be one of the most baffling mysteries of all time, especially of our time!!

Why "UFOs" will never become a top nightly TV news story

It is a sad fact, especially to die-hard "UFO believers" that UFO sighting news have never been (and will never be) treated as a top headline story in most national and local nightly TV news.
And, if any, most of the time such news stories about UFO sightings come at the very end of the half-hour nightly national or local TV news.
Never have they been a top news story.

Why is it so?
Simply because the mainstream news media still consider and categorize the subject of "UFOs" as part of Pseudo Science.
The news stations seem to do its best to avoid any ridicule.
And so they have no choice but to treat such news with a "light-hearted" attitude.

Usually the news anchor makes a cynical, smart-alecky and (most of the time) comical remarks about the sighting or about the subject matter in general.
And then, usually all of the anchors end up together with a laughter.

It is a convenient way to end the nightly news on a "light" note, a break from "serious" and increasingly depressing subject matters such as economy, politics, wars, terrorism, crime, environmental destruction, ad infinitum.
The subject of "UFOs" occupies the very end of a long list of all available topics, and usually only as a "filler" if they can't find any other items to bring the half-hour news program to a close, on a rather "happy" or "light-hearted" tone.

We all hope that some day in the future, UFO news will become a top story in the nightly news program.
But, will that day ever come?

Beliefs in "UFOs" no different from "religious beliefs"

Beliefs in "UFOs" as physical extraterrestrial spacecraft are no different from "religious beliefs".
It seems to me that they are primarily based on faith.

Religious beliefs are an intrinsic nature of human beings.
So there is nothing wrong or unusual about religious beliefs per se.

I am fascinated with a segment of the population's "beliefs in UFOs as physical extraterrestrial spacecraft" and "beliefs in physical extraterrestrial aliens that pilot or maneuver those UFOs".

People ask me: "so, what do you actually believe in?"
My answer to them is: "I believe that some people believe that we are being visited by physical extraterrestrial aliens in physical UFOs".

Then they ask me: "don't you believe that we are being visited by physical extraterrestrial aliens in physical UFOs?"

In that case, my favorite answers are:

1) The truth is out there!!.........(somewhere)

and

2) I want to believe!!........ (not "I believe")

(These are two great slogans from the X-files!!) (LOL!!)

Stephen Hawking, theoretical scientist and one of the most brilliant minds of our time, states that in this wide universe there ought to be civilizations somewhere else besides our earth.

However, at the same time Stephen Hawking also states that no aliens have ever come or will ever come to visit earth in UFOs.

(What Stephen Hawking was referring to was UFOs as physical alien spacecraft piloted or maneuvered by physical alien beings).

The late Carl Sagan, who was also one of the most brilliant minds of our time, basically said the same thing.

If I were given a chance to choose between Stephen Hawking and "ufologists" (such as myself), I would definitely go with Stephen Hawking.

Two of the greatest "ufologists" of all time (in my opinion), Dr. Jacques Vallee and the late John A. Keel, had long given up on the extraterrestrial hypothesis (ET hypothesis) of the origins of UFOs, which continues to dominate this entire UFO field.
(Are we slowly being "conditioned" to accept the ET hypothesis?)

Vallee and Keel basically came with a conclusion that this whole phenomenon goes beyond the physical and that it may be impossible to study it through the so-called "scientific" or "empirical" method.

In other words, we may be confronting a phenomenon no different than some form of religious manifestations.

So, back to square one: beliefs in "UFOs" are no different from "religious beliefs".

Why I support the City of Roswell, but not the Roswell UFO Museum

This is stricly my opinion.
It is evident that the world-famous Roswell UFO Museum has always promoted only the extraterrestrial interpretation of the Roswell incident.
And, unfortunately, it seems to continue to exclude any speakers who differ from their view.
Of course, it can do anything it wants, since it is a private organization.

Fortunately, in recent years, some UFO researchers who bring up alternative explanations and views on the Roswell incident have been coming to the Roswell UFO Festival and have begun to give presentations.
I totally welcome the emergence of those researchers.
Unfortunately, of course, those speakers are not welcome to speak at the UFO Museum.
This is truly a shame.

However, the good news is that the City of Roswell (especially in recent years) has become open to various speakers with various interpretations of the Roswell incident.
However, when the general public hears about the annual Roswell UFO Festival, it seems to assume that the Festival is mainly sponsored by the UFO Museum.
This is far from the truth.

There are several organizations that play a major role in sponsoring the Roswell UFO Festival.
First and foremost is the City of Roswell itself.
Special thanks goes to the tireless effort of people such as Renee Roach, unselfish, hard-working marketing director of the city.
All events sponsored by the City of Roswell are free.
The main venue of the City of Roswell's UFO Festival is at the Roswell Convention and Visitors Center, 912 N. Main St.
Right next to the Center is the Roswell Museum and Art Center.
This is where all lectures and presentations given by many UFO researchers (including researchers whose views differ from what the Roswell UFO Museum dictates) are free to the public.
Speakers with alternate views of the Roswell incident have been welcome to speak there.
What is truly great about the City of Roswell's part in all of this is, again, that the events sponsored by the city is all free of charge, including the many entertainment events of the Roswell UFO Festival.

On the other hand, all events sponsored by the Roswell UFO Museum are not free.

The City of Roswell, therefore, is in a bind because, on the one hand it benefits from many visitors who visit the Roswell UFO Museum and will spend money in the city.
But, on the other hand, the City of Roswell has a difficult time with the UFO Museum because the UFO Musem's financial impact and influence to the city is big.

In other words, it seems that the Roswell UFO Museum has become too powerful (and perhaps too dictatorial?) and has a tendency to dominate and influence the direction of the Roswell Festival.
Personally I like Free Events.

This is why I will continue to support the City of Roswell, especially the work of Renee Roach who has done so much to promote the Festival.
Yes, I will definitely continue to support the City of Roswell's role in the UFO Festival, and not the Roswell UFO Museum.

One of the main characteristics of America's so-called Neo-Conservative movement (although some people say that it seems to have slightly lost its momentum these days) with the backing of Fundamentalist, Evangelical Christians, is their total support of Israel through the belief that contemporary Israel is the fulfillment of Biblical prophecies and that the U.S. must continue to support the State of Israel, no matter what.

A large number of these American Fundamentalist, Evangelical Christians, therefore, believe that we are living the the "end-time" period of God's prophetic calendar.

It is of utmost importance to point out some of the "end-time" scenarios as believed by the supporters of this view.

Here is the typical order of the prophetic events to come, as outlined by many of those Christians who seem to hold on to the so-called Pre-millenial, Dispensationalist, Pre-Tribulation viewpoints.

1) THE EZEKIEL SCENARIO

They seem to believe that this could easily begin with the escalation of the Middle East conflict, involving Israel. They seem to believe that Iran and Syria will play a major initial role in this scenario.

They say that the Ezekiel 38 scenario includes the attempted invasion into Israel by all Islamic forces (led and orchestrated by the northern-most power, i.e., Russia) and will conclude with a miraculous Israeli victory.

They believe that it is suggested in the Bible that it will take 7 years to bury the dead from this unprecedented conflagration. (The U.S. will be involved, directly or indirectly in this conflagration, they explain).

2) THE APPEARANCE OF THE ANTI-CHRIST

According to their belief, the Ezekiel 38 scenario will conclude with the mysterious appearance of the Anti-Christ who will create a Peace Treaty between Israel and the Palestinians (and all Islamic confederation).

3) THE RAPTURE

They say that the Ezekiel 38 scenario could also conclude with a simultaneous, mysterious disappearance of millions of people from this earth, which will result in total chaos, confusion and fear among the global populace.
This, they say, is the "Rapture".
It will be a mysterious, mass "evacuation" of the believers to meet the Lord in "mid-air".
(The physical bodies will be mysteriously and instantaneously converted to celestial bodies).

In other words, the so-called "born-again" believers will be translated from one side to the other, i.e., from the earthly plane to the heavenly dimension and will meet Jesus in "mid-air".

They say that the "Rapture" (from Latin "raptare", to "snatch" away, as in the eagle "snatching" away her baby when danger comes and taking it away to a safer location, etc.), is a supernatural event clearly suggested in the Bible that has not happened yet in the history of mankind, but will be certain to happen, according to most of these pre-tribulationist, dispensationalist believers.

It will be an inexplicable, instantaneous disintegration of all atomic particles of each of our cells of our tissues, i.e., the instant conversion of our physical body into a spiritual, celestial "body" which will be swooshed up into "mid-air".

In other words, they believe that "in the twinkling of an eye", our physical bodies will go through a mysterious, sudden transmogrification (a favorite word used by John Keel) and will be lifted up to meet the Lord in "mid-air". Our entire physical bodies (the tissues, the cells will go through a sudden, inexplicable atomic fission-type transformation, they say.)

They believe that the "Rapture" is a conduit prepared by God for us to escape the coming global wrath known as the Tribulation (comparable to the days of Noah, when God safely place a few faithful believers in the ark first and then caused the rain to pour down thereafter).
Pre-tribulationist, dispensationalists believe that this unprecedented event will take place simultaneously with the appearance (the revealing) of the Anti-Christ.

The Anti-Christ, according to these believers, will not be able to come to power until the "body of believers" (together with the presence of the Holy Spirit) is removed from this earth.
Only then, at that moment, can the Anti-Christ come into power.

According to these Christians, the "Rapture" will literally be a celestial wedding, the union of the bride (the "church" or "the body of believers") and the Groom (Jesus Christ).
This "wedding" celebration in the air will last for 7 days, which could be equivalent to 7 earthly years.

4) THE ANTI-CHRIST SUCCEEDS IN CALMING DOWN THE STUNNED, CONFUSED AND PANIC-STRICKEN POPULACE

When the Anti-Christ appears on global emergency TV news conference, many of these Fundamentalist Christians say that he would calm down the frightened people of the earth with his ingenious, well-calculated explanation regarding the sudden disappearance of millions of people from the earth; this could be when "UFOs" are brought up; the Anti-Christ could use some type of "extraterrestrial" intervention explanation.

(By the way, in the U.S., the majority of the so-called Fundamentalist, Evangelical Christians hold on to the viewpoint that somehow the "UFO" phenomenon is "Satanic" or "diabolical".
These groups seem to believe that "UFOs" will play a major role in these future biblical prophecies.

However, some of these Fundamentalists seem to emphasize that only one-third of the entire angelic entities of the universe are demonic or malevolent or "fallen" and that the rest, i.e., the remaining two-thirds are benelovent or "good" angels.

There are some Fundamentalist ministers who state that the malevolent one-third are the ones posing as "extraterrestrial aliens" and are deceiving a segment of the population in the time period they describe as these "End-time" period of history.)

Some theorists even believe that if a global government of some sort is to be set up intentionally (by force) in the future, there are several ways to accomplish it. Creating wars is one example, they say.

Creating other series of "crises" is another, such as manipulating natural global catastrophes, or even creating artificial ones. Some researchers call this the "ORDO AB CHAOS" theory.

They also point out that Henry Kissinger at one time suggested that should the world suddenly face an external threat (i.e., from "outer space") whether REAL or PROMULGATED, it would accelerate a cry for a global unified government. They say that Ronald Reagan and Gorbachev also had allegedly made such similar remarks, that if the world is faced with such an extraterrestrial threat, we will all forget our differences and be united as one to defend this earth from such threats.

Some conspiracy theorists seem to pose this question:
Can the "world government" stage a deceptive, "alien contact/landing" scenario?
If the secret government were to stage such a fake, "extraterrestrial" type of event, it would definitely be beneficial to them if there remains an adamant element of society who have always believed in "UFOs" and "aliens").

In any case, Fundamentalist, Evangelical Christians seem to believe that somehow the Anti-Christ will come up with a brilliant, convincing explanation for the "Rapture" event and that somehow (supernaturally) the world will have a sigh of relief by his explanation.

5) THE BEGINNING OF THE 7-YEAR TRIBULATION PERIOD

According to these fundamentalists, this event will be the beginning of the 7-year Tribulation Period (i.e., the "New World Order" of the Anti-Christ, the first half of which will be relatively and deceptively peaceful, and the second half of which will be an iron-fisted rule of the Anti-Christ, who will declare himself to be God at mid-point).

6) THE BATTLE OF ARMAGEDDON:

Towards the end of the 7th year, nations such as Red China (and the rest of the "Kings of the East") will challenge the dictatorship of Anti-Christ's Europe-based New World Order and will begin to cross the Euphrates and make a move towards the valley of Megiddo.

This battle, the battle of Armageddon, will be the final global battle.
During the climax of this battle, celestial forces led by Jesus Christ (and accompanied by those who had been "raptured") will descend and will destroy all earthly forces.

7) A THOUSAND YEAR REIGN OF JESUS CHRIST FROM ISRAEL

Jesus Christ, according to these believers, will rule from Israel for a 1,000 years.
This is the Millenial Kingdom.

8) FINAL, MINOR REBLLION

At the end of the 1000 years, there will be a minor rebellion by the descendants of those who may have survived the Armageddon and continued to procreate, thus having physical bodies.
That minor rebellion will be crushed by God, these believers say.

9) THE FINAL JUDGMENT

This is the gist of the events to occur in the near future, according to many of the so-called Fundamentalist, Dispensationalist, Evangelical, Pre-Millenial, Pre-Tribulationist Christians.
Is this all wild, "science fiction"?
Maybe. But again, no one knows.
Does it hurt to believe in this "unbelievable" scenario?
These Evangelical Christians seem to say that it won't hurt at all to believe that such scenarios could come true.
They say that they have nothing to lose by believing in it even if it doesn't come true, but everything to gain if it indeed takes place, if one is a believer.
I will take a chance in this scenario.

In 1945, immediately after the end of World War II, the U.S. brought in many German scientists and engineers (as well as some former SS intelligence officers) to New Mexico through a program called Operation Paperclip.

After arriving at Wright Patterson Army Air Field in Ohio, it is said that many were initially stationed at Albuquerque's Kirtland Army Air Field (present Kirtland Air Force Base). Some of the scientists and engineers were then trasferred to Los Alamos.
Some others were transferred to White Sands Missile Ranges.
Many of the German engineers played some significant roles in the development and testing of U.S. rocketry in the late 1940's.

The U.S. military also secretly began to test-fly several prototypes of unconventional, flying wing aircraft (some with Ramjet engines) which the Germans developed in the early 1940's, including a few of the Horten brothers' flying wings.
It is said that one of the Horten brothers' flying wing aircraft may have reached even speeds of up to 600 miles per hour when tested in Germany in 1943.

It is said that, with the help of these scientists and engineers, the U.S. military secretly conducted these tests over the deserts of southern New Mexico in 1946 and 1947. Other flight tests may also have been conducted in wide areas in the Western states, extending from Washington all the way to Texas.

These prototypes of flying wing aircraft were basically crescent-shaped. Some others were delta-shaped or manta ray-shaped.

Accidental crashes of some of these craft may have necessitated the creation (and even "staging") of convenient "cover stories".

So, what actually did happen near Roswell, in July of 1947?

The bottom line is that there is no hard, tangible, solid, physical, irrefutable, documentary evidence that a physical, extraterrestrial spacecraft crashed outside of Roswell in July of 1947.

But something did happen outside of Roswell.

It is extremely difficult to conceive in my mind that any highly advanced extraterrestrial civilization, traversing through this vast space and arriving at our earth would even "crash".

The concept of something "crashing" is simply a typical human concept.
It is only a human, limited, "linear" viewpoint bound by a uni-dimensional, "empirical" thinking.
Any highly advanced civilization (that could even penetrate our dimensional barrier in a non-linear fashion) would never have such accidents, in my opinion.

Stephen Hawking, theoretical physicist and one of the most brilliant minds of our time, states that in this wide universe there ought to be civilizations somewhere else besides our earth.
However Stephen Hawking also states that no aliens have ever come or will ever come to earth in UFOs. (What Stephen Hawking was referring to was UFOs as physical alien spacecraft.)

The late Carl Sagan, who was also one of the most brilliant minds of our time, basically said the same thing.

If given a choice to choose between Stephen Hawking and "ufologists", I will definitely go with Stephen Hawking.

So, in conclusion, if there were indeed such a "crash" near Roswell in 1947, the only way it could have been a "crash" would have been if it were intentionally "staged".

In the early 1990s, I had a chance to visit a Col. John Alexander at his office in Las Vegas.
Apparently he had just moved in to that office there.

He was quite cordial.

We asked him some questions about non-lethal weapons systems and their applications.

I even asked him a couple of questions about "thanatology".
(since, at that time I was a full-time licensed funeral director in Los Angeles).
It was quite interesting.

However, towards the end of the interview we asked him a question about "UFOs".
As soon as he heard us mention "UFOs", his attitude suddenly changed and he became totally upset.
He then scolded us and told us never to bring up that topic again.
He said that he had absolutely no interest in "UFOs".

Anyway, upon leaving his office (after we apologized to him), he led us the way out of his office.
As soon as he started walking towards the hallway to lead us out of his office, I instantly went behind his desk and had a quick look at his computer screen.
To my amazement, his computer screen showed a partial list of UFO organizations and names of UFO researchers.
To this day, I have no idea what to think of him and this experience there in his office.

This is why I still have a difficult time trusting the ultimate goal of organizations such as the National Institute for Discovery Science (NIDS), financed and headed by Robert Bigelow of Las Vegas.
Col. John Alexander, I believe, was under the payroll of Robert Bigelow in the 1990s.
(He still my be, even today).
My fear is that the goal of NIDS is to dominate and control the flow of UFO information and to infiltrate organizations such as MUFON, through their vast financial resources.
I may be wrong on this.
I am not sure.

Strange But True Fact.....Area 51 and its strange relationship with the Lincoln County Sheriff Dept.

Nevada's Lincoln County Sheriff Department had a cozy relationship with the Air Force and its notorious Area 51 base. (They still do, even today, in many ways).
The Sheriff Dept. used to be compensated by the Air Force $80,000 a year just to interrogate people who drove on public land near the Eastern boundary line.
Lincoln County Sheriff Dept's phone number still reflects this long-time relationship.
The last 4 digits of their phone number ends in 5151.
Just call them (775) 962-5151.

In the meantime, a private security force guarding the restricted boundary line can intimidate people but are not allowed to come in contact (i.e., they are forbidden to talk) with people.
Instead, they are ordered by their superiors to call the Lincoln County Sheriff Dept.
Then the Sheriff Dept. will obey the private security's command and will send a deputy or two to question the people.

A strange relationship and a strange chain of command, indeed!

You can call the Sheriff Dept. They may deny all of this, but again, they may not.

The reason: to help ease the flow of natural gas in that region.

The most spectacular UFO sighting in U.S. history:

Forget about Roswell, 1947.
Forget about Phoenix, 1997.
Sure, those were undoubtedly very important events in the annals of UFO sightings history.
But when it comes to the most amazing sightings ever recorded in the U.S., nothing can even come close to what transpired over the skies of Farmington, New Mexico in 1950.

The most spectacular mass appearance of UFOs in U.S. history took place over the skies of Farmington, New Mexico in March of 1950.
It happened for three consecutive days.
The so-called 1997 Phoenix sightings pale in comparison to what happened in the town, not too far from the Four Corners area.

Anywhere from around 200 to 400 disc-shaped, metallic, silver-colored objects were seen in the sky, performing all kinds of maneuvers, making all kinds of formations and simply giving incredible flight show in the sky.

It all began at around 11 a.m. on March 15, 1950 and lasted for about an hour.
For three consecutive days, hundreds of astonished citizens of this town witnessed the most spectacular daytime mass UFO sightings ever recorded.
And it all took place during broad daylight, usually from around 11 a.m., lasting for about an hour.

The front page headline of Farmington Daily Times of March 18, documented the amazing sightings: HUGE SAUCER ARMADA JOLTS FARMINGTON.

For some reason or other, this incident seemed to have been hushed up quickly.
A few years ago I was fortunate enough to visit Farmington and was able to interview an elderly gentleman who was one of hundreds of witnesses to this spectacular event. He confirmed to me practically all the aspects of that incident as was reported in Farming Daily Times news article.
I visited the Farmington Senior Center to find some witnesses. Their number is rapidly diminishing.

According to some townsfolk, government agents came to town quickly after the incident, discouraging people to talk about the incident for national security reasons (the Cold War had gripped the psyche of the American people by 1950 and the people were quite receptive and cooperative with whatever the government had told them) and may even have bought up all the editions of the newspapers of March 18, 1950:

At around 10:30 a.m. on March 21, 1987, there was a crash of an F-14 Tomcat fighter in a canyon just north of Scripps Ranch, San Diego, California.

The newswires reported that the crash occurred shortly after the jet had taken off from Miramar Naval Air Station.
Two pilots, after they ejected from the aircraft, said they heard 3 loud explosions as the jet plummeted to the ground.

The crash site was about one mile north of Scripps Miramar Ranch, about two miles northeast of Mira Mesa, and about 4 miles northeast of the air base.

About 65 firefighters from the San Diego Fire Department and Poway were summoned to the canyon area to battle a two-acre blaze triggered when the jet crashed.
Firefighters had trouble reaching the site because of the poor access roads through the rugged terrain.
The blaze continued for about three hours.

A Sheriff Department's helicopter, which had helped in transferring the pilots out of the area to the Naval air base, also aided firefighters by dumping water on hot spots.
Navy spokesman Lt. Ed Mapers said that "Quite a few people called us and they all said it was strange". "They said it was quiet and the aircraft was making no noise. It could lead you to believe possibly that the engines shut down".

Mr. Lucky Endo, a long-time area resident, said that he did not witness the crash itself nor did he see the crash site because it was on the other side of the hill.
But he heard the explosions and soon he witnessed two parachutes coming down.

He said that fire broke out but the fire engines may have had difficulty reaching the area.
A helicopter was used initially to put out the fire on the ground, he said.
Smoke from the crash was still visible for several hours.
According to him, the area was completely secured and became off limits to the public by the military, the police and the fire department.

What was most interesting was that Mr. Endo states that around 3:30 p.m., he began to observe an oval-shaped object hovering in the distance on the visible side of the hill, just above the tree lines.
It hovered in that area for about a minute or so.
Mr. Endo said he took two still photos at that time.
He did not take any videos.
He only sent me two copies of his original photos.
Therefore the images are not too clear but they are, nevertheless, most interesting.
His two still photos are presented in my short YouTube presentations.

According to the news reports, the F-14 Tomcat fighter had crashed due to electric malfunctioning.
Mr. Endo theorizes that the pilots of the jet may have earlier encountered an unidentified craft during the training mission and may even have been chasing the object.
He believes that the object that appeared around 3:30 p.m. may have been observing the crash site after the ground fire was put out.
The Navy never released any final investigation results on this incident.

U.S. National ID card...will it become a reality?

As everyone knows, the United States has been facing a serious illegal immigration problem, especially in states such as Arizona, which has a long, virtually unprotected border with Mexico.
If nothing is done now, I am afraid that the United States will begin to lose its identity in the near future, on top of everything else relevant to this problem and its adverse consequences.

I fully support the new Arizona law on illegal immigration because it protects the rights of U.S. citizens as well as the rights of those who are in the U.S. legally.
This law is not about racial profiling.
In fact, it specifically condemns racial profiling.
It makes it illegal for any law enforcement official to even question the legal status of a person unless that person is clearly committing a crime or has committed a crime.
I think this is quite fair.

I believe that enforcing the border is essential. Many nations of the world have stringent border policies and enforcement.
Tall walls such as the ones separating Israeli settlements and the Palestinian areas in Israel may not be realistic and may not be the answer, at least for now, but something must be done to defend our borders besides just increasing the number of border patrols.

What about those estimated 12 million illegals who are here already?
Indeed this is a big problem. It may be logistically impossible to deport them en masse.
What should be done to these people?

Here is my suggestion:

Those who can prove that they have been here for 20 years or more and can prove it with documentation, should be made eligible for citizenship (only upon earnest request) or for Permanent Residency status provided that they pass a thorough background check, pay back taxes, pay a stiff penalty (for example, let's make it $1,776 each) and get a certificate of completion from an E.S.L. (English as a foreign language) school.

Those who can prove that they have been here for 5 years or more (but less than 20 years) with documentation, should not initially be made eligible for U.S. citizenship but should initially be made eligible only for a Permanent Residency status, provided that they also pass a thorough background check, pay back taxes, pay a stiff penalty (for example, let's make it $1,776 each) and get a certification from an E.S.L. school.

For those who have been here less than 5 years, the only recourse will be to voluntarily return to their point of origin.
Will they leave?
They will eventually leave if they cannot find jobs here.

In order to do this, the U.S. must thoroughly enforce the law that penalizes the hiring of illegals, i.e., those who do not possess the U.S. citizenship or Permanent Residency status or Work Visas.

Getting back to the topic of "racial profiling", the biggest problem is the simple fact that nobody can prove that a person is a U.S. citizen or is in the U.S. legally simply by looking at the color of his or her skin.
A driver's license does not indicate U.S. citizenship or that the person is in the U.S. legally.
Unfortunately, most U.S. citizens do not carry with them any document to prove that they are U.S. citizens, i.e., birth certificate, U.S. passport or certificate of naturalization.

This is why I believe that ultimately the U.S. will probably have no other alternative but to consider giving each U.S. citizen a U.S. National Identity card. Many nations of the world already require their citizens to carry national ID cards with them at all times.

This may sound very Orwellian, and personally I detest such measures (especially since, for many years, I have been fiercely fighting against and will continue to fiercely fight against any form of a forced New World Order or any form of a forced Global Government) but I believe that a U.S. ID card will be inevitable.

A growing number of U.S. citizens may begin to feel that a Federally issued U.S. National ID card, just like a U.S. passport, may be inevitable in the near future, and may begin to feel that another ID card, besides driver's license, may not become such a burden to carry at all times.

So, if such U.S. ID card becomes a reality, then what information should be on it?

Probably, for those who were born in the U.S.:
Photo, Date of Birth, City and State of Birth, Social Security Number and Current Address.

And probably, for those who were naturalized:
Photo, Date of Birth, City and Country of Birth, Social Security Number, Current Address, Date of Naturalization, City and State where naturalized, and Naturalization Number as indicated on Certificate of Naturalization.

In the far future, even some type of Biometric ID system may come into the picture, like it or not.
We must face this fact now, i.e., that we are already living in a world without much privacy.
This kind of measures may not prevent all crimes or stop terrorism, but it may become a first step to curtail them.

Maybe the probability of life spontaneously appearing is so low, that Earth is the only planet in the galaxy, or in the observable universe, in which it happened. Another possibility is that there was a reasonable probability of forming self reproducing systems, like cells, but that most of these forms of life did not evolve intelligence".

UFOs, The Bottom Line: My Honest Answers

Recently on the "Coast to Coast" radio talk show (March 16, 2010.......you can listen to the repeat of that program at the bottom of this page) I tried to answer some of the most frequently asked questions on the UFO phenomenon that have been specifically addressed to me.

Here, then, are my straightforward, honest answers to some of those questions:

1) Is there a physical, underground U.S./Alien Joint Bio-Lab in Dulce, New Mexico?

My answer:

To the best of my knowledge, there is no hard, tangible, solid, irrefutable, physical, documentary evidence whatsoever that supports the allegation that there is a physical, underground U.S./alien Joint Bio-Lab in Dulce, New Mexico.
But my personal opinion is that there is "something" there. What that "something" is, I do not know. There is something "real" there, but we still do not know for sure what "real" is. What is "reality" to some people may not be "reality" to another person.
Physical reality (as we know it) may not be the only "reality" that exists in this universe.

By the way, speaking of Dulce, most people have never heard that in 1967 the U.S. government had experimentally exploded an atomic bomb underground, just about 21 miles southwest of Dulce, New Mexico. It was part of a post-war program called "Plowshare". The U.S. government exploded a nuclear device about one and a half mile underground. That specific experiment was called Project Gasbuggy.
It was experimentally conducted to ease the flow of natural gas in that region. At least that was what the government had said.
Three years ago I had a unique chance to visit Ground Zero there, thanks to the kindness of a Jicarilla Apache resident of Dulce who took me there.
It is my opinion that initially there had been some minor radiation leaks in that area. Some ranchers even told me that the government may have been monitoring the radiation level found in some particular animals, such as certain cows in that region.
Also, I had heard about some recurrent problems in fertility among some women in the Dulce area.

These are questions that still need to be addressed and answered. It is still inconclusive.

2) Is Area 51 in Nevada still active?

My answer:

Yes, definitely. Even today, if one goes to the large parking area of E.G. & G. Terminal at Las Vegas' McCarren Airport, every weekday it is still filled with vehicles of employees who report to work at Groom Lake, Nevada (Area 51). There are still anywhere from 7 to 8 flights daily going to and from Area 51, on unmarked 737 jets that arrive and depart from the E.G. & G. Terminal.

In the past three years, there has been sizeable additions, clearly visible, to the Area 51 complex. Two years ago, a new 155-foot three-sided bluish radar tower was constructed by the tarmac. More new buildings, water tanks, etc., have been added in the past 3 years.
Last year, they just finished the construction of a humongous, new hangar towards the south of the complex. This new hangar is close to 4 times the size of the H-18 Hangar, until then the largest one on the complex.

Also, as of two months ago, they just completed the paving of the Groom Lake Road, from the complex all the way to the East perimeter boundary. A new communication tower has also been constructed near the East Guard Shack, near the boundary line.
Most people have no idea that Area 51 today has anywhere from about 1800 to 2200 part-time and full-time employees, all working on diverse, separate projects of highly compartmentalized programs conducted by defense contractors such as Lockheed, Northrop Grumman, Boeing, Raytheon, General Atomics, TRW, etc. etc.
Some employees are assigned on a daily basis. Some stay at the base for a few days, a week, weeks, etc., depending on their assignments.
Both the Area 51 complex in Nevada and the Dugway Proving Grounds in Utah are definitely and actively pursuing diversified defense-related projects.

But what does this all have to do with UFOs?
Absolutely nothing.
To a segment of the population, Area 51 has become associated with "extraterrestrial technologies" only because of the allegation (i.e., from Robert Lazar) that there had been a back-engineering program conducted in secrecy at an allegedly, relatively small complex, allegedly hidden along the slope of Papoose Mountains, by Papoose Lake, about 10 miles south of Area 51.
There is no visible evidence of the existence of this S-4 site, as far as any detection by satellite photo is concerned.
The alleged S-4 site has become associated with Area 51 only because of its proximity to Area 51.
The bottom line to S-4 is that it is still an allegation only. That does not mean that it does not exist. It is inconclusive.

3) What is your take on the alleged crash of an alien spacecraft near Roswell in 1947?

My answer:

Again, the bottom line is that there is no hard, tangible, solid, physical, irrefutable, documentary evidence for that.
It is difficult for me to conceive in my mind that any such highly advanced extraterrestrial civilization, traversing through this vast space and arriving at our earth would even "crash".
The concept of something "crashing" is a typical human concept. It is part of a typical human concept, bound by a limited, "linear", "empirical" thinking.
Any highly advanced civilization (that could even penetrate our dimensional barrier in a non-linear fashion) would never have such accidents, in my opinion.

If there were indeed such a "crash" near Roswell in 1947, the only way it could have been a "crash" would have been if it were intentionally "staged".
My belief is that the Roswell incident (the "crash") was staged by the "entities" themselves or through an elitist group within the shadow government, in collusion with those "entities", for a purpose yet unknown.

and, finally,

4) Do you believe that there are actual, physical extraterrestrial craft being piloted or maneuvered by actual, physical extraterrestrial entities from outer space?

My answer:

No.
The UFO phenomenon is definitely real, no question about it.
However, so far I see no actual, physical, solid, tangible, irrefutable evidence that there are actual, phyiscal extraterrestrial entities piloting or maneuvering actual, physical extraterrestrial craft.
But, then, what about the UFO phenomenon?
It is still a mystery.

In my opinion, the so-called abduction phenomenon is a real phenomenon, "real" to the "abducteees".
It is "real".
However, we still do not know for sure what "real" is.
My opinion is that there are many levels of "reality".
What is "real" to one person may not necessarily be "real" to another person.
This is the greatest challenge in ufology.
This may be a crazy thing to say, but maybe this life here itself may not really be "real".
This is why I say that ultimate "reality" can be experienced only after our physical death.

This is to let everyone know that I was invited to be a guest on a talk radio show called "Coast to Coast" on Tuesday, March 16.

I believe that it was in 1995 that I was a guest on the same syndicated program, at that time, called "Dreamland", hosted by a gentleman named Art Bell.
It was quite enjoyable.

At that time I had a crazy two-hour video called "Secrets of Dreamland".
My main thesis on that talk show (and in that video) was that the covert government (if there were such a thing) would have sufficient technology to be able to artificially simulate or orchestrate a "fake" UFO threat to bring a forced global unity to the future world, should there be such a need.
My view on this has somewhat changed since 15 years ago.

I shared some of the high strangeness encounters that I had experienced while researching two of my favorite topics: Area 51 and Dulce.

After more than 45 years of researching the UFO phenomenon, my hypothesis is that a conditioning of belief systems may have been carefully orchestrated towards a segment of the population since 1947 by a manipulative force that may be preparing mankind for a future paradigm shift and encounter.
Whether such a change in paradigm (mankind's consciousness, worldview and attitude) will come suddenly or in gradual steps, I don't know.
However, I believe that the ingrained and altered "realities" behind both Area 51 and Dulce may play a role in that scenario.
I will discuss those alternate "realities" that co-exist alongside the physical images of these locations.

In 2008 something told me to move from California to retire in New Mexico.
In my opinion, New Mexico may hold the key to the future destiny of mankind.

A major Dulce-related witness (name withheld to protect his privacy and position) will be a surprise guest at the upcoming meeting of the Albuquerque/Rio Rancho UFO and Paranormal Forum which will be held on Saturday, March 6, at 1 p.m. in Albuquerque.

Here is the gist of the events for Saturday, March 6 in Albuquerque:

This is to let everyone know that on Saturday, March 6, I will be taking the members of the Albuquerque/Rio Rancho UFO and Paranormal Forum (and anyone else who is interested) to view Paul Bennewitz' residence as well as to view the Manzano Underground Nuclear Storage Complex from right next to the fence.

This is where Paul Bennewitz used to see some strange lights hovering above, back in 1979 and 1980.

I believe in flying saucers, not in UFOs!!

When people ask me if I believe in UFOs, I have a difficult time answering that question.
The best answer that I can think of, when confronted with such a question is "yes, I believe that sightings of UFOs are reported from time to time".
That answer itself, however, is an incorrect answer because it (the fact that sightings of UFOs are reported from time to time) is not a matter of beliefs. It's fact, not fiction.

First of all, UFOs have nothing to do with beliefs.
A UFO simply means an Unidentified Flying Object.

Like it or not, it's a term which was coined by the U.S. Air Force in 1952.
It was a term created with good intention to clarify things.
But on the contrary, it has created misunderstandings and more confusion than ever.
The word has truly "muddied the waters", so to say.

(Here is a comment made on this by an Internet poster: "and the reason the USAF chose the term UFO was they had no intention to admit there were "flying saucers". The USAF always intended that any sightings be placed into cubbyholes of explanations where those who were sighting the UFO simply did not comprehend what natural phenomenon they were seeing...........to admit there were "flying saucers" would be for the USAF to admit the possibility of foreign, or alien, ability to enter our airspace and THEIR inability to prevent it.")

Things were much simpler, especially between 1947 and 1952 when these unknown objects were called "flying saucers" or "flying discs".
It was because the vast majority of such objects sighted then were disc-shaped.
I would venture to say that this is true even today.
(although there have been noticeable reports of sightings of triangular-shaped craft in the past couple of decades or so).

Nevertheless, by a strange coincidence, the vast majority of similar objects reportedly sighted around the world throughout the history of mankind has also been predominantly disc-shaped.

So when people ask me if I believe in UFOs, my answer is "No, I don't believe in UFOs, but I believe in flying saucers".
I wish that people will discontinue to use the word UFOs.

But it is also important to emphasize that just because one believes in the existence of flying saucers, it does not necessarily mean that he or she believes that flying saucers are physical, extraterrestrial spacecraft piloted or maneuvered by physical, extraterrestrial beings from some inhabited planets in distant space.
That should be a separate question.

First of all, in my opinion, no one knows for sure what flying saucers are or where they come from.
This is still a mystery.

There are millions of people who believe in the existence of flying saucers.
In this sense, flying saucers no doubt exist in a level of reality envisioned by the observers.
Anything that mankind imagines floats and exists on a surface of a level of reality envisioned by mankind.
For example, do "elves" exist? Do "demons" exist?
The answer is yes.
Any thought or concept or even a word that originates from a person begins to float and exist on the surface of a plane of reality.
The noticeable level of such reality becomes even greater when more people begin to envision a similar vision.
For example, if there are 500 people who have almost the exact mental picture of a flying saucer, let's say, its dimensions, exact shape, color, etc., that collective picture will begin to occupy a higher and more noticeable level of reality.
In other words, what I am trying to say is that there are many many levels of reality.
Unfortunately mankind only knows one level of reality, i.e., the reality of physical reality.

So, once again, let me clarify my position.
I am not ashamed to say that yes, I am a firm believer in the existence of flying saucers!!

P.S.

In 1975 I was living in Phoenix, Arizona.
I clearly remember one day in that year receivng from my mother a most interesting letter.
I could see her excitement in that letter.
She wrote to me in that letter saying that about 10 days before, she had distinctively observed a silvery, metallic "flying saucer"-shaped object (with a dome) hovering just above a crowded railway station in Yokohama, Japan.

It was in a broad daylight, around 11:30 a.m..
She described the object incredibly as a typical "flying saucer", just as "flying saucers" have always been depicted in comic books or in Sci-Fi movies.

She said in the letter that it happened when she and her grandson were walking away from the railroad station and walking towards home.
She felt as if "something had told her" to turn around and look back towards the railway station.
And, Lord, behold, right over the station, she suddenly saw this shiny, silverish, metallic, typical "flying saucer" with a dome hovering over!
She immediately pointed to her grandson to turn around and look, and at that very moment, the object was gone........vanished!
The street was filled with people coming from and going to the railway station.
She was so awe-struck that she didn't even notice anyone observing the object.

My mother had always been skeptical and always used to ridicule my serious interest in "UFOs".
(In my childhood years, I had always taken a great interest in "UFOs" or "flying sacuers", as they were called then, ever since my father had told me of his sighting of a strange, greenish "ball of fire" slowly moving over Yokohama bay one summer night in 1947, as he was night-fishing, his favorite hobby of many many years.
He swore that the object seemed as if it were "intelligently controlled" or "intelligently maneuvering".
He said he had never seen anything like it before. My father had passed away in 1982. My mother passed away in 1998.

But getting back to my mother, her amazing sighting totally made her a believer.
Do I believe in her sighting?
By all means, yes.
I have the highest respect for my mother and I totally believe what she said in the letter.
I visited my mother a few years later and she confirmed her sighting exactly as she wrote me.
There is no doubt in my mind that she did see what she said she saw.

Once again, do I believe in the existence of flying saucers?
Yes, no doubt about it.

Here are the 5 most important propositions regarding the UFO phenomenon, according to Dr. Jacques Vallee who, in my opinion, is one of the world's foremost authorities on UFOs.

1. The things we call unidentified flying objects are neither objects nor flying. They can materialize, as some reliable photographs seem to show, and they violate the laws of motion as we know them.

2. UFOs have been seen throughout history and have consistently received (or provided) their own explanation within the framework of each culture. In antiquity their occupants were regarded as gods; in medieval times, as magicians; in the nineteenth century, as scientific geniuses; in our own time, as interplanetary travelers. I am in totally agreement with Dr. Jacques Vallee.
In fact, this summarizes my personal belief on the entire UFO phenomenon.

This is the reason why, in my opinion, there will be no such thing as DISCLOSURE by the government. Sure, the governments of the world could release ALL files on UFO sightings anytime, if they wish to.
However, just releasing such files will do absolutely nothing, since the public will clamor for the explanations as to what the UFO phenomenon is.

The government is only responsible for explaining things that deal with physical, tangible, solid, empirical evidences as we know them.
Anything else, the government is not in the business of dealing with.

If there will ever be any DISCLOSURE, it will come directly from the entities themselves or from a paradigm-shifted majority of mankind (which has not happened yet).

Some people, however, seem to believe that such a paradigm shift (change in human consciousness as well as human collective unconscious, and humanity's shift of world-view and attitude) may occur suddenly or gradually, beginning on December 21, 2012.
We will just have to wait and see.

I thought I would pose a question to drive the Pagosa Springs area residents mad with thought. What is the source of the constant low frequency noise heard from Kenny Flats all the way to Juanita and beyond?

The noise can be heard by most people in their vehicles when the engine is turned off.
Using a low-frequency noise meter, as I used, the noise will show a constant 56 decibels in the C range.

Not all people can hear low frequency, but an example of low-frequency noise is the common home generator that is used throughout the county.

Yet, I believe this is not the source of the noise in the Coyote Park region.
The noise I'm referring to is only heard by about 60 percent of the public and those with bad hearing are blessed from hearing this constant, inescapable noise.

Low-frequency noise caused by gas well compressors stations such as is found at Fawcett Gulch on Colo. 151 can be heard for many miles and will drive people out of their homes.
In the right conditions, such as in desert environments, low-frequency noise produced by these compressors carries for 20 miles.
This noise is the EPA's number-one complaint.

Low frequency is also produced by tunneling machines.
This is what I believe is the source of the noise throughout the region of Archuleta County.
If you doubt the noise exists, go listen for yourself, for I doubt it has gone away.
I think the government is building huge underground complexes in the sandstone bedrock or even under Archuleta Mountain. The noise is 24/7.
If you're a reporter, go ask the local ranchers of the area and residents if they hear the noise.
It's a great mystery worth investigating.

Indeed, this is a fascinating report, relevant to the whole Dulce, New Mexico rumors, as well as rumors about southern Colorado's reportedly strange goings-on (cattle mutilations and what not) and even stretching out into the rumors about Denver International Airport's alleged underground complexes and the ongoing huge construction projects next to the airport.
Is there something going on?

It is a well-known fact that from around the late 1980s to the early 1990s, many people in and near Taos, New Mexico began to report similar strange, low-frequency hums. I had made some comments in the mid-1990s that even though the Sandia Laboratories and Phillips Laboratories, (both at Kirtland Air Force Base in Albuquerque) were called up to investigate the phenomenon, that perhaps it was the Sandia Laboratories themselves that may have been the culprit, since I had suspected that some type of tunneling projects may have been going on near and under the whole Taos region.

I had also suspected that perhaps Sandia Labs were experimenting with ELF manipulations in that area. But then I began to hear about low humming sounds in the mid 1990s occurring near the coast of California, near such places as Lompoc and even near Vandenberg Rocket Launching Complexes. It was called the mysterious "Pacific Hum".

At this point in time, I still have no definite idea of what the hums could be.
It is a mystery.

My thoughts on life and death as a retired funeral director

As a retired, long-time funeral director, I can summarize in one sentence (although it seems absurd) what death is: Death is only the beginning of life!!

I say this because just recently I saw a wonderful Japanese movie called "Departures".
It is one of the most emotional and uplifting movies I have seen in many many years.
I highly recommend everyone to see this marvelous picture.

"Departures" can be rented from NetFlix. It comes with English subtitles.
It won the 2009 Academy Awards for Best Foreign Film.
It is a powerfully moving, heart-warming, funny, life-affirming, wonderful humanistic story.
It will make you laugh, it will make you cry and again it will make you laugh.
And, in the end, it will bring you tears of joy.

It will lift you up emotionally and spiritually.
It is an unusual story about an unemployed man who accepts a job as what is known as a sub-contractor to an undertaker (called nokanshi in Japanese) in rural Japan.

The closest equivalent to this type of work (here in the U.S.) is the so-called "first call" company, a company that sends a person or two to make the removal of the deceased, for example, from a residence.
It is a type of work that most people in Japan (as well as in the U.S.) stay away from.

After seeing this amazing movie, I began once again to think about life and death.
So I pulled out my old post (of 2007) and decided to share my thoughts with you all.

This fascinating photo was taken by my colleague, Gary Schultz (of Santa Monica) on Wednesday, February 28, 1990, ca. 9:00 p.m., witnessed by his wife, Pearl Schultz.

It was taken near the mailbox at the "mailbox road", near the 29 1/2 mile marker, Highway 375, Tikaboo Valley, Lincoln County, Nevada.

This spot is very close to the spot where exactly one week earlier (on Wednesday, February 21, 1990) I had brought a Nippon Television crew from Japan to try to document a test-flight of an object described to us by Robert Lazar in an interview we had at his residence earlier in Las Vegas).

Gary Schultz took this photo from the dirt road looking due South towards the Jumbled Hills and the Groom Mountains.

He said he used a Nikon Action Touch 35 mm camera (35 mm, f 2.8 lens), exposure unascertainable, 1600 ASA Fujicolor film.

He described this object as possibly an H-PAC (human-piloted alien craft) courtesy of the then existent Project Galileo, U.S. Navy's alleged covert program near Papoose Lake, a.k.a. Area S-4 ("secret saucer facility"), Nellis Air Force Range, Nevada.

Curious spot on Archuleta Mesa, north of Dulce, New Mexico

Here is a curious spot located on the Colorado side of the Archuleta Mesa, north of Dulce, New Mexico:

The exact location of this spot is 37 degrees 01'05.53"N and 106 degrees 57'19.77"W, elevation 8443 ft.

I have been to Dulce several times before but I have never been on the Archuleta Mesa yet.
I have also seen the eastern view of the Mesa after crossing into the Colorado side (from Lumberton), but I wasn't aware about this spot on the mesa until last year when a friend of mine told me about it.

It is my understanding that this area (in Colorado) is under the jurisdiction of the Utes tribe and not the Jicarilla Apache Nation whose jurisdiction is in New Mexico side of the Archuleta Mesa.

Perhaps there may be nothing unusual about this spot, but I was just curious so I posted it on a YouTube format.

As long as there is no clear picture of this spot, my curiosity continues to linger on.

I am planning to fly over this area in a helicopter in the near future with some Jicarilla Apache friends of mine in Dulce but, in the meantime, to the first person who could provide me with a clear, close-up ground photo of this spot I will offer a reward.

It seems that both Creech AFB as well as Area 51 in Nevada are active as ever, with various new projects, including newer generations of UAVs as well as UCAVs, in addition to possible newer hypersonic spy planes.

Most of us who have been into conspiracy theories have been hearing about the HAARP Project since around the early 1990s.
But I am so glad that Jesse Ventura picked up HAARP as his first episode on his new TV program, CONSPIRACY THEORY.
I hope the public-at-large will become aware of this rather secretive, somewhat strange project.

I remember CNN reporting around early 1993 that the U.S. military may have used some type of Psychological Operations (PSYOPS) experiments during the initial phases of the Iraq War.

Part of the alleged military PSYOPS program may have involved some use of concentrated radio frequency waves to alter the minds of some Iraqi soldiers.

Some also even speculate that the military may have experimented on some limited holographic projections devices for PSYOPS at that time.

The reason I brought this up was because CNN was said to have acquired some information on this matter in March or early April of 1993 after allegedly receiving a tip from an FBI official who was said to have divulged that FBI was planning to seek assistance from a Dr. Igor Smirnov of Moscow Academy of Medicine who was a specialist in the use of a new efficient device that would emit certain radio frequency waves and would possibly help in ending a US cultic group seige at Waco, Texas. However, the seige ended on April 19, 1993.

What is interesting is here is that the DOD, through a clandestine group within the military may already have experimented earlier with its own similar device in the initial phases of the Gulf War.

In addition to the weather modification strategies over the battlefield, HAARP's future applications seem to include a much larger-scale PSYOPS strategy of projecting certain images (such as religious figures) by converting part of the ionosphere into a virtual screen for such projections.

In this regards, some aspects of the HAARP project seem to relate very much to the alleged Project Blue Beam plan of NASA, although evidence is hard to come by.

I remember talking personally about all this with Dr. Nick Begich, author of ANGELS DON'T PLAY THIS HAARP when I interviewed him around 1996 or 1997.

2012: it's all about our personal transformation!!

The topic of 2012 will continue to be a hot topic among some people as we approach that year and date.
But realistically everybody knows that 2012 is not about the end of the world.
The hype about 2012 being the end of the world has been brought about largely by those who have to thrive on such hype, such as movie producers, survival kit business owners and writers who depend on selling books.
To many, 2012 is a business opportunity.
There is nothing wrong with business enterprises per se. It's as human as it can be.

We all know and believe that the world will go on and on.
Even the Bible seems to indicate that it will go on.
The system of things may change drastically in the future but the world itself will go on.
The hype about 2012 is also based upon humanity's feeling of insecurity, especially during these difficult and uncertain times, whether from worsening economic downturns or fears and threats of wars and terrorism or from speculations that our environment will deteriorate and will cause global destruction.

To begin with, 2012 is not about the year itself of 2012.
It's only about one particular day, i.e., December 21 of 2012.
There will probably be nothing earth-shaking at all in the year 2012. The Olympic Games will be taking place. U.S. Presidential elections will be going on. Life will go on as usual. Of course, among a segment of the population the hype about December 21, 2012 will continue to accelerate until that date arrives.

However, December 21, 2012 will come and go.
The only thing unique about December 21, 2012 (or in some calculations, December 23) is that it marks the end of a calendar cycle used by the ancient Mayan civilization.
In this sense, December 21, 2012 will be just like a New Year's Eve to those who are very much into the Mayan calendar.

So I don't see why we should not join them and have a celebration, since another cycle will begin immediately after that date (or in some calculations, December 23, 2012).
In fact I suggest that humanity, as individuals, or as individual family units or in various groups, should gather together on that day all over the world and have a celebration of life and a time of personal meditation.

It could be held on a mountaintop or in the desert or in any location of natural beauty where one could feel good vibrations. It could be held in any of the so-called sacred sites around the world. Or it could be held in homes, backyards, places of worship or in community centers or just about anyplace. The important thing is that people gather together to celebrate and meditate.

We all make New Year's resolutions, don't we? Or, at least we try to. The same with December 21, 2012.

It's the beginning of a new cycle, and we all want to transform ourselves for the better.
2012 is all about personal transformation, not about catastrophic earth changes (although we cannot rule our anything!! LOL!!).

Real changes come from within. The world will change for the better if we all make an effort to shift our attitudes, thoughts and actions.
This paradigm shift will not happen suddenly, although some say that it will be brought about supernaturally. I personally believe that it will be a gradual shift.

This world will change for the better if each of us could change in some ways, for example, if we:

1) begin to abandon our self-centered attitudes (i.e., the "I, I, I" and "me, me, me" worldview) and begin to think of others more and understand others' feelings.
Ethnocentricity should be de-emphasized.
National boundaries and national identities should still be important but we should first consider ourselves as citizens of the earth (or even better yet, Citizens of Heaven) more than just being citizens of a particular nation.
Global consciousness must become the dominant consciousness.
Or, even going further, cosmic consciousness, that we are all one and part of the human and cosmic family.

2) begin to de-emphasize our linear method of thinking and look beyond the physical and begin to acknowledge that this wonderful world is filled with mysteries and that there are things and even entities (the bulk of whom we believe are benevolent towards us) unseen in this world that co-exist with us.

In a larger scale, we must acknowledge that there are countless number of intelligent entities whether in physical or non-physical forms (the bulk of whom we believe are benevolent towards us) in the entire cosmos and that eventual contacts with them may be inevitable.

3) begin to make our spiritual health a priority while we do our best to keep ourselves in good health.
Material pursuit (beyond what is necessary for our basic survival) must be decreased, if not totally abandoned.

4) begin to de-emphasize our denominational religious structure and organized religion in general.
We must move away from superficial religiosity and seek for true spirituality.

5) begin to acknowledge that this entire universe was intelligently designed by a Creator (or Creators) whether we call the creator a God (or Gods), and that each of us is a unique creation and that we are not here by coincidence.
We must begin to re-appreciate and enjoy every moment of our precious lives and begin to thank everyday for our breathe of life.
We must believe that our physical death is not the end of everything.
In fact we must believe that there is an afterlife and that physical death is simply the beginning of a new life.

6) begin to think that now is the most important moment in our life, not yesterday, not tomorrow, but NOW.

If more than 50% of the world will begin to have a personal transformation based on some of these outlook on life, perhaps we will then be ready for a real global Disclosure of Truth, whatever that Disclosure may be that will be coming.

Therefore let us all look forward to December 21, 2012 as the beginning of a new day.
By the way, we do not have to wait for December 21, 2012 to begin to make our personal transformation.
In fact, we should start it right now.

Jay Leno mentioned my name on his show on November 9, ,2009, about 15:20 minutes into his show.
He was reading from a newspaper announcement about me, Norio Hayakawa, a Japanese Country & Western singer performing for the German Oktoberfest at the Italian American Association Hall in Rio Rancho, New Mexico.

And it's all true.
I did perform there on October 24, 2009.
In fact, besides Country & Western and Latin music, I played lots of German songs (in German) and Italian songs (in Italian), believe it or not.
Many people thought it was quite unique.
